I always struggle with how much to leave behind. You are right that sand needs a lot of ground cover. I'll start my second pass here in about 1 week.

All the animals look good. Just a tough with trampled grass not only are you putting the carbon back down you are also shading ground and keeping the soil temperature from getting to hot .
