Here is a simple quick tutorial on how to add the DLC weapons from GTA TBOGT+TLAD without replacing the original GTA IV weapons.

Yesss! This is just the mod i was looking for! I have the ViceCityRage mod installed on GTA4 but i wanted the better weapons without having to try to reinstall the mod. Thank you! I just really miss the explosive shotgun, thats the most fun gun in my opinion.

Thanks for the comment. I agree too, that is the most fun gun. I did add the explosive AA-12 in an older version of this mod but I didn't know how to get it to shoot the same projectiles that were in TBOGT. I guess mod weapons reuse sounds from Niko's arsenal, however Assault SMG's sound is surprisingly unique and I like that.

Started this up on a save file for the first mission, It worked... But as the notes say "Use a new save game" There where 747 airliners' on the street. Problem didn't happen after I started a new save game.

1:37 Why does the TLAD Combat Shotgun use the Pump Shotgun sound when fired? It should sound like the normal Combat Shotgun from GTA 4, it’s supposed to be the same weapon just with a different skin.

@@JblockerJ After playing a lot yesterday I came to conclusion that pool cue situation is a strange one. Sometimes It works sometimes it doesn't. For anyone who has 1.0.0.8 Ultimate edition of the game, I looked at the mod files and removed some ep1 weapons and it is working now with the DLCs. Grenade launcher breaks both TLAD and TBoGT. Pumpshot and sawnoff crashes only TBoGT. Overall a great mod. Loving the sweeper. 😂

@@JblockerJ You could try, but if I were you I wouldn't put much effort into it. I mean not many people have the DLCs installed directly in GTA IV. I wanted to fix it myself but it felt like too much work haha so I gave up and just started deleting stuff in default.ide and weapon.xml files until the DLCs started working again.

I wish there was a way or mod built on top of this so you could find these as weapon spawns or somehow mod the gun car/vans within GTA IV or the DLC's. I wonder if the weapons from Little Jacob's car could be replaced with DLC guns instead.

Try creating and using a new savegame, if that doesn't work you probably deleted an important game file.

Did you use the trainer files from the zip file that's linked in the description?

If you didn't, just open up the zip file and look for "trainer.ini" and replace it in your gta iv directory.

If you get a weapon from the trainer it will either add or replace what is in the appropriate weapon slot. You can't carry all of the weapons at once, you can only carry 1 weapon for each weapon slot, that's how the weapon inventory functions for GTA IV. For example, If you get the AA-12 from the trainer it will replace whatever shotgun you previously had in your weapon inventory and vice versa. You can spawn any weapon through the trainer though, even the ones you bought from the store.

Hey, this mod is amazing. But does it work in the most recent version of the game (I’m guessing it’s 1.8)? Idk if I have the Ultimate Edition or not (my EFLC and IV are separate, purchased together), and does it include EVERY weapon (such as the pipe bombs, etc.)?

Hey, the mod in this vid does not work on 1.0.8.0, but I'm working on one that does. I'll be sure to give you the link once it's done. You probably don't have Ultimate Edition if your EFLC and IV games are separate. And there are no pipe bombs or stickys, but the rest of the weapons are in the mod I'm working on for 1.0.8.0.

@@jayplast1156 I agree, I wish all the dlc features were ported over to stock game... But then again, there wouldn't be much of a selling point for the dlcs if that were the case. I believe it's possible to add new vehicles, but trying to compile the weapons alone was complicated enough for me. If I ever am able to port over the episodic vehicles, I'll definitely make a mod of it and a video.

How to do this for ps3 ? Blus30127 disck IV - What you need to do on the game files ? using spark iv it says i canot add new files - just replace existing ones - and open iv says its only for pc version game - And besides these problems - what are need ? Is just the1) model on models.img - 2) animations in anim.img And 3) the code in weaponinfo.txd ? is this ? I right or what ?

You need to update the weapons.ivaud to match the sounds from Tbogt/Tlad. They still borrow aspects from the vanilla IV weapons even though they don't replace them.

@@MrBig-xc9gc I know that, but I'd still have to replace or override the original weapon sound files with TBOGT's, and even if I didn't, I wouldn't know how to link the new sounds to the corresponding weapons through the trainer.ini file.

@@JblockerJ I could walk you through step by step on how to do it but you need to add a seperate registry for the new files just like when adding more vehicles into the game. Its been a while since I messed around with IV I used to work with some of the top modders on xbox

It sounds like you didn't use the mod's trainer.ini file, make sure you moved all the contents of IV+ weapons into your game directory. By the way, the mod linked in the description does not have dlc vehicles, I have another vid on that.

The weapons worked but there is no firing sound on the DLC weapons at all. UPDATE: Trainer.ini files replaced from current Simple Native Trainer version 6.5 mod. Sounds enabled. Man I wish the silenced pistol and the P90 are actually silenced and won't affect the AI like it were another gun, stealth would've been great for this game. Thanks for the help, uploader!

Did you use the same trainer files included in the mod? If you didn't, try replacing the trainer.ini file with the one included in the mod and see if you still don't have sound.

@@JblockerJ About that, if I replace the latest files for the Simple Native Trainer version 6.5 with yout trainer files, the game won't start for some reason. Always quits.

It's possible to swap the behaviour between two weapons? It always annoyed me how the Assault Shotgun was fully auto and the Automatic Shotgun was semi auto, when they should be the opposite of each other.

Yeah, you don't even have to switch the weapon behaviors. You'll need OpenIV. (click read more) Once you've configured OpenIV, open your GTA IV directory with it. Open the Common folder, and then the Data folder, and then scroll all the way down to WeaponInfo.xml. You can open the xml file with OpenIV and change the behaviors of all the weapons there. You can make all the guns automatic if you wanted, you just need to change the number value in "timebetweenshots="1233">" on the weapon you want. Input a lower value (say 433) for increased fire rate speed or put a higher value (like 1233) for a slower rate of fire. Hope that helps, if all else fails. I can try to edit the file for you and give you the link. Cheers.

I don't know how to create a separate registry for the sounds. I think Mr.Big is working on something now and is unable to show me how to do that just yet. If I find a way how to add sounds I'll make a new vid.

There are other comments addressing the same issue. If you create and use a new savegame you shouldn't see any gray planes or texture glitches anymore.

are you going to port the rest? Also, when equipping them they mess up my slots, is there a carry all weapons mod? I can't seem to find one, the only one I found is deleted.

I'm not planning to add anymore weapons, the only main ones left are the sticky bombs and the explosive aa-12, but I don't know how to code them so that they retain their original functionalities. I'm not aware of any mods to enable carrying all weapons. The weapons function as like in the DLC's, they replace whatever is currently in that weapon slot, (44. Mag replaces Deagle or Glock and vice versa.)

The mod needs to replace important game files to work, simply deleting them will only cause the game to crash cause it's missing those files. If you do not have backups of the original files or game to replace them you have to reinstall the game.

I think it might be related to using the edited default.dll file with a old save. You shouldn't see those planes if you create and use a new savegame for the mod.

Alright, the DLC save files seem to be corrupted. Upon starting a new game in TLAD or TBoGT, or loading a save file from those two DLCs, the game crashes while on the loading screen with an error popping up in desktop.

@@jazzyboy3742 Yeah, that's why it isn't working. This mod isn't compatible with the complete edition version of the game. You probably had 1.0.7.0 before, but then steam auto-updated it. Did you use all of the trainer files included with the mod? You specifically need the modded trainer.ini file included in the mod for weapon sounds.

So I'm having some issues with the weapon audio now, Some of the weapons are silent, Like, Completely silent. What file should I be looking at?

That's odd. The trainer.ini file assigns what sound an episodic weapon uses, you said some weapons are silent so I assume it's not all of them. I would try copying and replacing all the mod files again, (or just the trainer.ini file) and seeing if that fixes anything. If you go to line 3675 of the trainer.ini file you'll see what sounds are assigned to an episodic weapon and if sounds are enabled. It should look like what is in this image. imgur.com/a/smgdGXU If it's not the trainer.ini file, it's probably the weaponinfo.xml

@@JblockerJ The only weapon that has a sound is the Suppressed pistol, I'll replace the files. Everything was loaded in a new save and a few hours through my playthrough they lost their sounds, With the exception of the suppressed pistol.

I think you didn't use the trainer files that the mod includes, make sure you copied the mod's trainer files into your game directory. If you copied all of the mod files into your directory and it still doesn't work, please tell me the version of the mod you used, (1.0.8.0, or 1.0.7.0+1.0.4.0) and I'll see if it's an issue with the mod files.

If you create and use a new savegame you shouldn't see any more low poly planes in the streets.

Redownload the mod, I updated it. In previous versions of this mod there was an error with the code that made it so you couldn't have the sawnoff.

@@JblockerJ nvmd you forgot to do something in the weapon xml since another weapon overide the swanoff, anyways any idea on how to change weapon sounds individually since my pistol .44 isn't sounding right, its sounding like a silenced pistol.

As far as I know, you can only replace the sounds of the original weapon files, I'm clueless as to adding them in the game.

@@JblockerJ Hey you're still active, that's great! But wait, isn't it the game's limitation to add new sounds to weapons and not the trainer's? I mean you can't add *new* sounds to the WEAPONS.ivaud file in the resident.rpf , you can only replace. But if somehow you managed to put more than 357 files in there, the game would either crash or load, if it does load is there a way to make use of those extra sounds? I mean link them to weapons somehow?

@@807pranavghandade8 You're right, that is the game's limitation. and if I managed to add a new weapon sound, I don't know how I could link that sound to the trainer.ini file. I have replaced sounds with episodic ones before, but I have no clue if it's possible to add them. Thank you for the correction, and I will edit the comment above.

When I open up the trainer and try to select an episodic weapn, a prompt comes up saying: episodic weapons disabled I downloaded and followed all the steps and used the same trainer

Did you use the trainer files included with the mod? Using the same trainer won't work with this mod unless you use the edited trainer.ini file I include in the mod.

@@danielsun8672 That's odd, it should've worked then. What version of GTA IV are you trying to install the mod on? And if you already haven't, I'd make sure and double-check by replacing all the files with the mod files again.

I've played the mod on windows 10 and it works. I listed two links in the description of the video, one for patch 1.0.7.0+1.0.4.0, and one for patch 1.0.8.0, they both work on Windows 10, If they don't work for you then it's probably another issue other than this mod.

Yes, you could try to use it without a new game but in my experience it just crashes if you don't.

No, you don't need the DLC's to install it. You just need the standalone version of GTA IV. Make sure it's either version 1.0.8.0, 1.0.7.0, or 1.0.4.0 though.

@@ruisu8105Someone else commented the same issue before, It was an issue with the code and the sawnoff was missing/unable to spawn. I updated the mod not too long ago fixing this. Download the mod again via the link in the description and after reinstalling you should be able to spawn it. Make sure you replace all the old mod files.
