You have no idea how much money you have helped me save as well as how much I have learn about how to maintain my 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT from watching your videos.
Was super easy. I didn't even drop the airbag. I couldn't see the plug so I just felt for it. The zip ties that came with it are brittle so I used some I had. As a previous commenter mentioned the doors locked automatically after about a minute of shutting it off so keep hold of your fob.
This is a great video! Just installed the product in my 2016 Town and Country with no issues thanks to your step-by-step instructions. Took me between 30 and 45 minutes.
Dealership wanted to charge me $500 or more to add remote start when I bought my van brand new 6 years ago. Thanks for the video, I'll be doing this to mine in the near future
Yes, we can well believe the $500+ price tag for the dealership to enable the remote start! This way you can do it yourself and at a much, much lower cost! Well been nice to know after programming and setting it up it will lock the doors after shutting it off. Thanks for locking my only key in my van immediately after testing.
Remote start is already preinstalled in any caravan. You just need to install a hood switch or a resistor into its connector and activate the start using any service program. A matter of 30 minutes and a couple of bucks)
Hey man.. i just did this for my 2016 dodge caravan.. it worked initially before i put everything back together, i tried multiple times.. but when i put everything back together it stopped working and my rear defroster button light would blink.. i suspect it has something to do with disconnecting the battery? Any idea how to fix this? Thanks!
