Just a suggestion for stuffing is a cheap pillow if it happens to be cheaper than a bag of stuffing...I haven't done this but I did read about it on one of my Facebook groups.

I like this, been looking for an easier way to make dolls. I made gypsy rose 🌹 butterfly with crochet. Never a doll. I only ever e wrapped so this will be a challenge. Need to go buy a flower loom too.
