I love that you made a tutorial using knitting and crochet together! I do the same with projects I make on the Addis. Also, I really appreciate how you structure your video tutorials; you're clear, precise, and get right to the point! Thank you for sharing! ♡
To make marking the row easier, I would simply run the life-line stitch along that row while you are knitting. Whenever I am doing larger projects, I frequently add a lifeline and make note of what rows they are added on in case something happens and I need to frog my work, at least I have a reference point and an easy spot and way to pick up stitches.
You can add a pull string by just laying a piece of yarn in a contrasting color all the way around the addi then just knit as usual it will mark the row and can be removed by pulling it out when not needed
Super cute ....can't you give more details on the knitted part. What size needles and cast on for the side panels. Would like to do this in the round on DP needle.
I'm going to break your heart, i'm sorry. I don't knit. This tutorial is for the Addi Express Circular knitting machine. Its great for us crocheter that are jelous of knitters. The machine only makes stockinette tubes & panels. That why there isn't much detail. I'm not sure of the needle sizes on the machine. But it's an awesome machine. I can knit a hat in 20 mins or less!
I’m considering purchasing either an Addi, or maybe a Sentro, but what’s the difference, except for the price and number of needles? I’ll do more research about this because what I can say about you is that you’ve expounded on making more than hats and scarves with your Addi! I love this
This is absolutely lovely. Could you tell me what gauge you get for this project? I think I can recreate this on my USM since I don't have an Addi. I love your videos and the things you make on your Addi. Keep the videos coming!
I guess the knitted tube has enough width to fit loosely around the head? Can you give us the measurements of the width and length? That would help us hand knitters.
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond back to your comment. Sometimes they get lost in my notifications. I love reverse braid, it spices up the plain fabric. I think a reverse drop stitch cowl would be awesome. You can probably use this pattern & just Tweek it to your liking. Its a good idea for a future video, thank you
This is worked with circular knitting machine...it can knit in the round but as it has only a standard amound of needles you are limited in the stitchcount of your tube for this cowl. That can easily be “fixed” by making flat panels on your circular knitting machined and join those panels together lengthwise to create a wider tube 😉
It sounds like your stitches are tucking into the machine. Pay attention while cranking. Make sure every cook is lashing on a yarn and droppingon to the writ that will pay at the base of your machine. When this doesn't happen it causes the Stitch to tuck into stitches get stuck together and tangle
