It's been only month since I found Tyler and Josh not just as a musicians but as the people, as the message, as the two hearts beating together so that our hearts can do the same. I have been suffering from major depression during the last 5 years and I lost these years, lost from 17 to 22 years old me. Sometimes I woke up and understood that I was alive but then the darkness would come and the mess would repeat again and again. Music is always with me. It saved my life so many times but it was never enough because I couldn't help it and save myself with my own hands. I started to give up like I would not be able to live with the whole me again. Only with the remnants and broken pieces of me. Like I will not recover anymore and I just need to accept this… this month hit me hard and changed my life and the life of my best friend. Together we were standing in the kitchen and weeping and crying and hugging promising to each other never give up «until we both see the light». They saved us. They showed us the light that still lives in us. We looked on them and we saw ourselves, all these 6 years of our friendship that survived many tough times. We couldn’t believe that somewhere else in this world there is such connection between 2 absolutely different persons as we have. But it does exist and its power ignites the light and saves lives. We have no right to give up because we both know that we were destined to help other people. She as an artist and I as just a person who knows something about the darkness. So, I’ve just watched you and your friend performing the song that I haven't heard yet (only read the lyrics) I have to say that I am happy to hear it from YOU before I can listen to the original cause it represents how this music lives in us, our stories and our gratitude towards Tyler and Josh. I don’t know if I am able to express my feeling about Them. Simple «thank you» doesn’t work. I know they feel it every time they see our faces. I have been waiting for them all my life. I’m lucky to find them. Lucky to understand my purpose in this world. Lucky to have a friend like mine. Lucky to have MY LIFE even with 5 lost years. I never thought anyone's cover could replicate the emotions that run through me like the original, but yours was truly amazing. I can tell you both put a lot of work into this and I just wanna say that I'm so appreciative.
