I’ve never been drunk or high, but I’ve certainly been hopeless in selflessness. Like a Leopard I Can’t change my spots. Only by Christ can I even recognize my condition. Thank you for sharing. We all come to Christ differently. Some in a defining moment. Some a slow working over the life. God is real and compassionate and all powerful. That is our hope. Thank you Jan.

thanks for sharing my friend i’m praying asking our Lord Jesus to break my chains of bondage with methadone, i can’t break these chains off me but i know Jesus can. A-men. yes my friend Jesus is real i believe everything you said.

He is helping you even now Kevin. One day at a time, brother. It helps me to let my mind dwell on his love, to read of his love in the scripture, to meditate on his sacrifice for my sins. There is healing and power in his love.

The other thing I wanted to mention is how this is a testimony to your grandparents (I'm one) and parents. I'm sure they never stopped praying for you! I look at what these kids are facing and feel sick, but still we can trust God ❤️

I think you're so right about their prayers. I believe I've benefited from them from the time I was born. My parents divorced when I was 4 years old, so my younger sister and myself along with my mother moved in with my grandparents until my mother remarried about a year after after the divorce. My grandfather in particular was probably the single most influential person for my spiritual life.
