Rudy Giuliani "stole" the New York City park near the Whitestone Bridge in the Bronx where my brother and I used to fly kites so that he could "redistribute" it to Donald Trump for $1 to build that golf course and country club. Virtually all of Trump's "free market" business successes relied on and benefited from such socialistic wealth redistribution.
Over a decade ago I lived on Forsyth and it really was gentrifying for the better. Like a lot of areas in Manhattan COVID really did turn back time for the worse.
Before COVID this area was changing for the better. I remember walking up to Houston one morning and there were youth basketball leagues and everything. Now you have homeless living in the hotels that dot the area.
That used to be a pretty unique part of our city. Artists, musicians models, and regular folk live within the vicinity. My children went to school down there. It breaks my 💔 to be a witness to the rapid deterioratizion of my hometown. 😢 And not a neary city council member is lifting a finger to change a thing.
Parks in the East Village esp Tompkins Square has been a drug haven for DECADES this is not new to a GenXer born and raised in NYC and remember the 1970s to early 2000s

NY NY. The place is so nice they had to name it twice 😂. Cities are environmental and noise pollution machines . They are like giant heat sinks in summer .
That park with a track and people playing soccer cleaned up.. but recently it is not looking great.. and regarding the homeless people.. they have always been there.

Lol, This the LES/Chinatown. This is actually an ok area, but yes on camera it looks like shit. But this is a cool area, if you go a few blocks over there's all types of fancy shit going on, especially the nightlife.
Jesus Christ loves each and everyone of those people its truly sad how a life of sin leads the soul to this state of existence reality is that if you die in your sins you will then spend eternity in Hell if you think this is bad people have no idea whats coming after this life without Christ 😢
