I actually do them at the speaker alot U can also use a electrolytic ..and it will change the tone ....

Interestingly, the High Frequencies contain the intelligence ! I'm kinda surprised that the entire radio didn't shut down, when he threw the switch ! Especially on Channel 6 ! 👉😝👈

The real question that needs to be asked is why is the galaxy receiver so noisy? Cobra radios don't have all that noise. If I was going to complain about my dx 94 hp it's the poor audio in the receiver.

What about using a DSP board to process the incoming signal to recover the wanted signal.

I need to get my cb hooked back up. I have 148 gtl. and i have a new uniden side bandier the 148 druves ne crazy , i had a reader iof the freq, but the darn thing takes for ever to find the freq.

What did you end up with for the values of two caps? I may have missed it. The AGC on that rig sounds like a ham rig with it set to FAST which is what most folks use for CW...why would they design it that way? I think the AGC should be slower and it would sound better for the SSB mode...IMHO! 73 - Dino KL0S

Um , hi cut noise filter ? Hmm . I would know what to do with out the noise . Sometimes it is nesisary for a conserted offort to meditate . On a particular problem . Other times I can't stand it . It conflicts with logic but that's how I as human deal with life .

Would be nice to make a circuit coming off VR4 that would trigger a different colored LED in the S-Meter on Modulation Peak Threshold. That way you could use your Mic Gain and set for just flickering on dynamics using the visual indicator. Could replace the Bright position on the Bright-Dim switch with this LED circuit. Something I'm mulling over while watching your Hi-Cut video. Thanks for the videos Mike. Great as always.

Those boogleys on channel 6 annoy the crap out of me. I run em out most of the time. Just turn on the 1500 watt linear and drown em out.

I don’t know much about CB radio except using them, how come my cobra 148 GTL is so much quieter than my quad five any tone, are all these new type radio noisy

I repaired one of these a few days ago, did that one have a weird arrangement for Q37 with one of its legs going to a wire jumper because it’s pinout didn’t match the pcb? One of the traces looked like it had never been soldered. I published the video on Friday if you want to see what I mean.

What you need to do is put a fan on the top of the radio blowing out, sucking the hot air from the inside. Kind of like an attic fan.

What radio would you recommend or at the least what make. 10 to 11 meters

98vhp needs the modulation turned up from the factory and AM power set to 200 watts pep if you want it loud and proud! Stock settings on CB radios are no good if you desire loud audio.

What a daft place to put a linier Amplifier, that said it is a nice set. Stick FM in it and it would be excellent (for a CB).

I watch all your stuff how ever today I put this one on and listen to it while driving I figured I would go back and rewatch it but it was a perfect on to listen to ( not driving now)

The center pin on the volume control ..very simple

All my frequency mods are on switches on the back of the radio. I only had one radio where I modded the switches on the side of the radio. Double pole, double throw, and center off.

I like the 2 capsistaor sitting.

Hay Mike, I caught you making a boo boo, so now I know your are human. At 3:00 you stated that heat goes up. Wrong, heat is radiation and does not rise but radiates in all direction , but, hot air rises. So many people say that and I love to give it to them, LOL Love your work even if your are mortal. Carl
