The Hardtail vise from Fireball Tool is amazing! I agree with your other commenters, it makes the welding table look pretty small! Was pretty interesting watching you lift it with a forklift.

Indeed it is. I watched Jason of Fireball tools hammer, literally, on it as well as a Wilton and Morgan vice in ways that they would never be and could not believe the pounding it took compared to the others. That is one strong and well-made vice.

I honestly was thinking in the beginning of the vid “I’m a bit disappointed not going to see the fireball table”. Then casually lifts this up on the table. Love how he never “unboxes” it or even credits it. Just your average massive vice to rule them all.

2/26/23; ...new welding Fixture Table..✅️ I am not a welder but much appreciate the indepth knowledge all welders must have & use in the making of any & everything metal. Stick/Mig or Tig & their cousins Sauter & Braize are sooo useful & necessary to build or fasten anything. No doubt you have seen Jason (last name?) channel Fireball (Tools). This man has some super handy, innovative cast iron big 90° (with 45° 'flats' built-in !) Fixture clamps for welders & machine shop people. Am sure you will find his equipment helpful in your search for your projects. I watch several YT welding channels & Fireball clamps & big red table vice are usually on their Fixture tables. So Matt, much enjoyed your video 2day...but waaay tooo cold, slippery/dangerous to be handling that heavy table by yourself...where is yur buddy Donavan when you need a hand?...gone sailing again? Humm...yeah, some place nice & warm, aye?👍👍👍👏👏🍺😊

Prior to welding your surface flatness can be improved by tappity tap tapping into alignment although you may need to loosen the local clamps a wee bit to allow your tap tap movement yet retain the adjustment... next table. A torch can replace the dead blow hammer too by slightly warming the required side and letting expansion adjust your clamps. The result of 4 friends buying their own tables.

It’s a joy using one of these tables, I have a certi flat table as well, works just like my MFT table when I need clamping support. My 150mm vice looks a little small compared to yours 😂

16:09 this shot gives an almost tactile experience. I can feel the weight of the metal, whereas before this it all seemed somewhat toy-like and relatively lightweight. Very cool!

The table looks great. All of holes will make fixtures easy to set up. The only problem I see is the vise occupies too much surface area.

Awesome table and vice Matt but I think the vice might be just a tad high! Also having a vice of that one's capabilities bolted to a relatively light table on wheels is going to reduce the vices capabilities by a HUGE amount. My welding table is 5 feet by 11 feet and weights over a ton, also over 70 years old. Awsome for bolting bending fixtures and the like to. I find benches for welding are normally too high. Hey Matt, great table. Did you choose the height of the table for a specific reason? It looks a bit tall especially with such a big vise on it. Having the mini skid steer made moving it look so easy!

That vise is too high for that table. It's probably because of the casters on the table. You should weld up a stand for that vise and get it off the welding table, which will give you back some more needed table surface.
