You did it! I enjoyed the analysis and breakdown of the wiring. RU-vid's "Post-apocalyptic Inventor" approaches the problems in the same, rational way. Since I still use an iPod...and have an iPhone 6S with headphone jack...I can stop at the 3.5mm aux in. I see your BT mod as a next logical step. Your solution iIs more...I don't know...honest....more real and less tech-y than the Aurora mod that rips out/bypasses all the existing electronics in the radio. Your choice of one of those dual voice coil speakers that can be fed left and right signals is fascinating! I would have gone with that, too...IF...the radio itself was an AM/FM/FM stereo model. In the all-mono radio case...unlike you...I would've cheated and use a mono speaker, 😆! I hope you two are enjoying what you've created; I would! Mahalo!
Thanks! I was very much considering doing a body swap with a modern aftermarket radio, but then I came across this solution that was way easier and cooler in my opinion. I mean this radio is almost 50 years old and it still works :)
@@bluesxt Yes, your way is arr superior. It disciplines a person to master what is on hand without seeking out other parts that may or may not be there already. You gained a more intimate understanding of electronics into the bargain. A winner from all perspectives!
