Hello friends! In today's video, I wanted to show you how to add elbow pants to ripped elbows on a jacket. I showed how I create my elbow patches and the foundations that I add to the actual rip to prepare for the elbow patches. I hope you were able to pick up some useful sewing tips in this video! So much care and a beautiful end result. Lazy me I wouldn’t open a seam, I’d just struggle as best I could and you get what you get. Who am I fooling, I would probably just throw away the shirt. I have so many jobs to do in a day there are not enough hours so I admire the patience you have to cut those close together stitches.

Excellent patch job and video, I too have been needing to add patches to a fairly expensive designer jean shirt for such a long time, but have been putting it off for more times than I can count ..... lol. Seeing how easy you were able to do this patch job just gave me the motivation to get off my butt and do what is needed to be done. :)

You made this easy for me! Thank you for this video. My husband needed some patches on an old shirt just to protect his elbows as he worked under the tractor on graveled ground. I used some leather scraps, but just eyeballed them on. 😳 Now I know how to do it professionally. His regular dress shirts will be done properly.👍🏽

My hardest seam to unpick was my husband’s slacks but it was the color black on black and my daughter had to hold a light on it for me to see the stitches. I didn’t realize how much a contrasting color helped until I got older.

I hear ya. Some of these jobs need an hourly rate. I’m working on a wedding gown that’s 22/stitches per inch. I’m 4 hours into just ripping it out. Ugh. Would you ever care to share your pricing for some items .?
