you should have a couple of carbon monoxide detectors wired to the fire panel in the rooms that have the furnaces and have the amber strobes in the hallway of the house
I would but my fire alarm system is not connected to the house in anyway if there was a gas furnace then I would put a residential co alarm in there but it is an electric one
@@nics-systems-electric ul certified residential CO detectors are complete garbage as they only detect high levels of poisoning like past 50ppm. CO poisoning also occurs at like 10ppm but they are not sensitive to detect that low levels. Just fyi
@@nics-systems-electric not sure about system sensor ones but you can check their data sheet and their alarm times. I only see this problem with ul co detectors as ul has a standard which is way too high. Edit: it is was too high for residential, I am not sure about commercial Edit2:I have checked EPA and kidde websites and EPA mentions that 35ppm is not safe for more than outdoors and the detectors kidde have are 50ppm or lower will cause it to alarm in 8 hours, not sure about the system sensor but I am going to search the datasheet.
