Idea for the game: Instead of you needing to turn in or sell scrap, you need to recycle and make more products for the company, doing it through a process players will need to do together to make. The amount of products you make is your grade, anything below maybe 5-10 (depending on how rare you make scrap to find), they’ll be “fired”. Also very cool concept, hope to play it when it releases!
I can't believe how much your channel has grown. I've been watching your videos since you had around 500-1000 subs, you helped me a lot with the door stuff. I love what you do. Keep it up!
The gas mechanic is interesting. You should expand on it! Gas as mentioned can be filled with jerry cans. Very rarely an Oil Drum item can spawn, being worth a large amount of gas [but disappearing on team death]. It would weigh 100 pounds or something obscene so it can be risky to get. But extra uniquely, you can reroute the van from your current location...to another site. Takes gas based on distance. If you can't get enough money out of one area, you can choose to hit multiple sites in one of your three days. Due to jerry cans, your game wouldn't end just because the van is out of gas. But you'll have the option to forfeit at the van's wheel if you're out, if you really think you're out of luck.
Could you try posting longer dev logs, maybe some sort of 'group meeting' at the end where all the devs get in a call and talk about this weeks progress! Love the videos!
As a dev myself, people always hate unoriginal games, but its mostly the unoriginal/heavily inspired projects that succeed the most. Look at the popular list and you'll see that most the games either are heavily inspired by a theme, another game, or is a re-used formula (like brookhaven.) That being said, i think its completely fine to replicate a game or introduce it to roblox, business is business and it's not your job to cater to people who probably won't care about you if your game fails.
I would focus heavily on unique enemy design. Enemies make lethal company. You're in the unique position to innovate on them. LC's enemies are very much inspired by SCPs. The issue is most SCPs have only singular counters and are invulnerable. If the enemies counter isn't fun, the player is usually forced into very unfun scenarios. The blobs in LC are unfun. Invulnerable, always following and deal insane damage. They are also very slow. No one is bringing in a jukebox to counter them, so their only counters are patience, or locking them away. Coilheads are unfun. They usually mean for the run, a player has to babysit them most of the run so others can safely acquire loot. Doors and flashes help, but these do not remove the coilheads from play; with how fast they move, its usually better to stay with them then lose them and risk getting instakilled by surprise later. If you think a monster mechanic is important to keep, consider keeping the "spirit" of them. A monster that can only move when looked at. It can be killed, making an audible sound to alert new threats. Or beginning an explosion sequence in a few seconds, having random health so every melee hit has every player scrambling back preparing to book it. Once you've got your mechanic, make a unique critter for it. That's where the SCP can really come into play. The disgusting thumper like aliens. The bizarre coilhead mannequins. The mask possessing what once was a coworker. Focus on what LC could also benefit from: monsters that prefer or hate light, like a moth that will be attracted to light sources, or a stalker in the dark that shrinks around the corner at the glance of a flashlight. I can't wait to see what you guys can come up with.
A idea is that you can make the delivery rocket be a Drill pod that comes out of the ground and delivers you the stuff you ordered, or another idea is that the delivery rocket is an air drop that falls from the sky. I hope you read this idea.
Hi twist, Hoose from the development team, I will be sure to let MonkeyDev know about this idea, it seems to be a good idea but it’s not final. Yours sencirly, Hoose
You should make it where when you meet the requirements they should be able to earn money for items to help them for more dangerous jobs, you can also make it where they can buy different suits to make their character more different than others. I hope your game will be successful, work hard and do your best.
I have one idea for the game, it isn't big but what if there was a temperature system? Some sites would be colder than others or the weather isn't in your favour and it is cold outside. There will be burning bum barrels or other forms of fire and/or heat in the site to keep you warm and the van will have a radiator. It shouldn't be too harsh but losing max stamina when you're cold could be an additional feature for additional difficulty.
i believe that it would be (in my opinion) the best to pryoritize the creation of the monsters also an idea is what if instead of just monsters you can add an oposing company when if you run into them they will try to kill or badly damage them giving the other team an upper hand(also that i think your quota should be based off of how much the opposing team is making)
I really like how the game looks now, and the soundtrack is too good. At the beginning of the video you mentioned that when the stamina ran out there was a tired sound effect, I think it would be great if there was a visual effect in which the helmet's glass fogged up.
I never thought I'd say this about a Roblox recreation game, but I'm actually excited for the release of this, as a fan of the real game, I'm surprised how good this looks, most recreations in Roblox are just.. trash honestly. Keep going man.
I really like how the game looks, especially the main menu! One thing I will say, the visor UI is really big. If you could make it smaller somehow, that would be a great addition. But overall, I really like how its turning out. Good job!
If you added difficulties, you could do like idk: New Hire (Lv 0+ Requried) : -35% less gas usage, -25% less quota needed, Jerry cans are pretty common, +50 Extra HP, smaller rewards for getting quota Employee (Lv 10+ Requried) : Base Game Overtime (Lv 25+ Required) : +25% more gas usage, +33% more quota needed, Jerry cans are extremely rare, -25 Hp, bigger rewards for getting quota Boss' Best (Lv 50+ Requried) : +100% gas usage, +50% more quota needed, Jerry cans are basically impossible to find, -75 HP, Really huge (ur mom level even) rewards.
idea for the game: what if you added different difficulties like a easy mode where gas runs out slower then normal or even a hard mode with (if there's going to be mobs) more dangerous mobs spawn and your gas runs out faster it would make the game more challenging for players that want a challenge and easy for ppl that want to play it safe.
Regarding your gas idea, I'd suggest making it scale with weight you add to the vehicle. This was make players have to consider what scrap they want to keep or throw out to save fuel.
Look, as a person in whose country Lethal company costs approx 200 money, I would love Unpaid workers to just be a lethal company I even thought to maybe make like a purposefully worse but free lethal company, with completely the same idea but with jokes, for example lobby is 16 people, as normally it's 4, but as it a "space bus" it actually can get 4x more people (inspired by my country's buses), and with enemies like "earless cat" instead of eyeless dog. Also rend is called rent and it's description says: "You need money to go to rent. That's a reference to real life, as you need a lot to pay for rent" Unfortunately, I don't have required coding skills
make it so that instead of getting ejected into space like in the normal game, you instead see a giant building approaching through the windshield, and then the truck rams into it
Maybe make a proximity chat system? ("electric state" is a good example, it has proximity game chat.) Also, maybe make the sprint and top left face thing a bit more better? it looks kinda bland imo (lighthearted ofc)
wow i still remember when you had only 2k subs and i am still an big fan with big wings and i fallowed you and say you grow so much btw ik you dont make content like thid anymore but what abt doors tutorial :)
seems pretty good, but maybe some custom animations or a r6 ones could be fit better, I could offer help but I don't have a lot of talent, im just starting
i had an idea for delivering. so i was wondering if when you buy something like flashlights. a truck will come along. however if you take too long (20 - 40 seconds) the truck will leave with your stuff you bought
add a day and night cycle it would make thigs more intresting like for example more agresive creatures apper earlier and at night most of the creatures are neutral
idea for the truck:What if theres like a radio thing that keeps the monsters away from the truck, and if the thing gets out of energy the monsters can attack your truck and maybe theres someting that you can use to restore that energy.
Hi Pro, I love the idea I will forward this to MonkeyDev, it is not final so don’t get your hopes up, if you are accepted ( as in what you have offered ) you will be placed in the credits section. Signed, Hoose from the dev team.
there should more things in the truck that you can use that spend gas, like the minimap on lethal company or charging things like flashlight using some too or something else like an horn that scares away the monsters near the truck
how about instead of going to different abandoned moons, you go to different ruined cities (the planet is in an apocalyptic state) and instead of the truck simply leaving at night, if you stay for too long, the truck will leeave due to a radioactive storm or smth
Create a new player model (I don’t mean change the clothes. I mean the body) and make the object hold animation more better and make that there will be some items you can buy in order to protect your self and your friends for the company any
Idea: instead of going in through a door to go into the facility, you go in through an elevator, originally in the original lethal company trailer they had to use an elevator to go into the facility.
Running out of gas while parked? Did we leave the engine on or not? Because if its not then this sounds unfair but I will forgive it if the truck has a leaking gas tank.
Make it a furnace Also no the gas idea is weird I mean it works but i feel like it's better if u can turn off the truck to reserve gas but since its turned off u cant do anything unless u turn it back on but without quota its ganna be weird
