Love those GRK’s as well. Beats a traditional lag bolt by a mile in terms of strength and finished appearance especially on handrail brackets. Wish they made them in shorter 3/8” shank diameter and in stainless steel. As far as paint, you’re exactly right. Whenever I have tried to paint handrails in the shop prior to delivery and installation, I always have to paint them again after installation. May as well just wait. Saves a step.

Nice trick with the caulking and screw

Well, if I don’t work, we will always thought it should’ve. Man I have done me a bunch of handrails and 40 years of fabricating. Proximately 10 years ago we did a tribal casino handrail system, it was a little large job ,so I broke down and bought a tubing bender, it really helped make a lot of the job easier, it made a lot of the job look better,but we still used some weld ells places . Of course had to follow all the code crap and had lots of bosses and lots of onlookers. It got to the point we had to put up some wild curtains because people were standing around watching us. The tribe finally bordered off our area so that people couldn’t get in our way. Part of it was a huge wheelchair ramp that had two returns in the middle of it , it went from one parking lot to another. Of course it had to be started in the middle of August, in the Eastern part of Washington in August. it’s done at least 100° every day, good times lol. PS good tip on the silicone and the reverse screw.

16:46 I woulda thought you'd use some 3\16 pop rivets instead of self-tapper 'zip' screws to mount the aluminum panel inside that mailbox rather than grinding sharp points off, risking potential injury in there.
