One of the MANY fantastic things about this series is the way your clear demonstrations have revealed to me aspects of Garageband I have previously overlooked or ignored as being "too complicated". Immediately after watching this episode I went back to a (rough) demo I have been working on and added some extra textures from the loop library to sit under guitar solos. I might not leave them all there, but what fun! And, as you say, what a difference when they are NOT there.
Colin! Man, thank you so much for your work in presenting these videos! They have been CRAZY helpful to me. I keep coming back to them to refresh myself. You do such a great job with the content, your speaking, the quality and flow of the videos, etc. It's all so strong! I've gotten the free plugins that you mentioned, I've learned a ton about the basics of EQ, compression, vocal layering, etc. Those have been the ones that come to mind first, but I def learn something in all of your videos. Thanks again and keep doing what you're doing!
Thanks Colin. I have a song that I'm working on right now that has a break where a choir sings a capella and I needed a little extra punch where the bass and drums come in after the break. I think your "Bass Bomb" did a good job giving that extra punch to it.
