Finally a tutorial that made sense to me. I created 3 objects, 1 for the top line. 1 for the bottom line and another to blend the both of them. I've been trying to GET this concept for over a year and managed to do it most of the time ... but now I really "get" it. I was trying to flip on the same path and it was never working. Now I create a new path for each - top and bottom and things are golden. Thank you!
Perfectly explained. I have seen other videos on this but they are a little confusing. Yours is really good, and taught me everything I needed to know. Unfortunately it doesn't appear that your uploading anymore. Sad because your one of those very few people in life that can explain something to me once and I get it the first time. Your a really good teacher. I do hope your ok.
Thank you very much. This was exactly the video I was looking for. I was needed a video which showed how to combine the strokes of a circle with a text. Thanks for showing this option 🙏🏾
I'm so glad I watched this - I thought this would be more difficult to do! I got a lot more out of it - tiny tutorials on how to use the other tools, which is great as I am a beginner with Illustrator. Most other tutorials are so fast I can't see what they have clicked on and I'm rewinding multiple times. Thanks!!!
Nice video Jimmy, you explained this really well! To make things easier when moving the text along the path, hold Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac OS) which stops the text flipping to the other side of the path, which happens way too easily without holding Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac OS).
I love a video that gets straight to the point. I watched 3 different ones that were over 8 minutes and still didn't know until I landed here. #subscribed
Holy shit thank you for this video. Every video I've watched before yours never talks about the ascender or descender options. Thank you SO much for helping a hella confused graphic designer out!
Thanks for making this easy. You gave very clear and concise instruction while demonstrating at a good pace. I appreciate instructional videos that are easy to follow.
RIGHT ONE!!! out of all videos on youtube related to text on shape, this is by far the #1 my friend! thank you for taking the time to explain this i hope you will do a session on stamp effect. cheers
really glad i came across your tutorial. i had been in struggle town with some vertical type and just knew that i was missing a really simple step. many thanks for a clear explanation Ü
Hey Jimmy, thanks for this! You made this so easy, concise, and quick! I look forward to seeing more of your videos! You just earned a new subscriber! :)
I like what you did on this video I would like to know what is the name of the program you are using and how can I get the same one I have been searching the web for a program that does exactly what you did
Hi, thanks for the tut! But what i can do, if i wane the text in the upper part and inside of the circle? The letters always looking on the wrong side, and the mirror function take the letters out of the circle.
Hi wanted to know if there is a way after u create your art - that you can resize to smaller objects. when i shrink to a desired size i loose portions of the original object ?????
Hi! I'm just new here and I have a 2021 AI. My problem is that whenever I use the type to a path tool, I lose the shape and when I use the direction tool it doesn't have the brackets for me to move the text. I hope you can help! Thank you!
Excellent tutorial...had no idea about the "flip text"...that opens a whole new world for me. On another note, I'm trying to break into this biz with having completed a Professional Certificate from an on-line school. How do I build a portfolio now that I have no clients nor class assignments in which to create things. Do I make stuff up like food labels, posters, logos???? I have one piece that one instructor deemed "portfolio worthy." Help!
