I had the privilege to visit Ethiopia this year and the people, landscape and music have made a big impression on me. I now have my 'Ethiopian moment' everyday and I can assure you that such moments are the highlight of my day. Thank you Ethiopia.

Bro, Lucy is 3.2 million years old, another fossil was found in Ethiopia that is called Ardipithecus ramidus (Ardi) 4.4 million years old. Almost 1.2 million years older than Lucy. It was found in the same area in AFAR, Ethiopia.
This song hits different when you're away from Addis. I remember watching the music video on my vcd player many times a day when it was released and the homesickness was just overwhelming. My favorite song of Birhanu.
The idea of urging people to plant Ten Trees for each child born is great. Do not stop there. Scale it up. Do the same for every birthday . If each person could plant 1000 trees over a lifetime, net of trees cut down for use, over time it will add up. Planting rose bushes is extra :) Hmm ... I do not know what to do with all those birds that will be chirping from every tree top though. The choir will wake me up every morning. What an interesting problem to have!
I wish the blatant apartheid system & ethnocentric poisons are obliterated from our motherland for good, so that we all can travel freely & speak freely and yes finally a day will come when we all will be treated equally in a true & transparent democracy ………….I'm hopeful that day is closer than ever before!!!
