Installing an additional M.2 SSD in the MSI Modern 15 Core i5 10th Gen Model. Please excuse my mishaps with the screw falling off the table onto my rug. This always happens... But found it within 5 minutes!!!!!!!
Very helpful and entertaining video. Thanks a lot Charlee. I couldn't help but crack up seeing you struggle with those screws. 😆 BTW, is it worth it puncturing that hole and void the warranty? I do want to upgrade though. My Laptop is about 6 months old.
I think it's worth it for the simple fact there's upgradeability under the hood. You can max out the ram also install two M.2. not many laptops are giving you that ability now days. Those screws always give me a hard time I get too excited LOL !!!! thanks for watching I appreciate it
Hey this is called a real world video.....if it can go wrong.....I hope you were able to find the screw. Thanks for the video because I'm going to need this video in the near future.
Maybe it was sloppy but I got a real kick out of the video and I have to apologize I laughed quite a bit. Thanks again for sharing this. I get my MSI in 3 days and I'm excited!
Honestly I’m always sloppy when I upgrade laptops . I get too excited !!! I need to take my time and relax in the future. Thanks for watching my video much appreciated sir!!!! This MSI is awesome.
@@charleeeugene Be careful with the hinges man, I would suggest only opening/closing it by the center of the lid, unfortunately, MSI has a hinge problem.
Hi, I just bought a MSI modern 15 (A11M-217XIT, i5 11th gen). I also want to add 8 Gb of RAM with a DDR4 3200 Mhz Crucial memory module, does yours work in Dual Channel with the pre-built memory module? Thank you
I have a Katana 17 MSI build, and the M.2 drive is in a similar spot on your example in the video, but there doesn’t appear to be a corresponding screw hole in the body. What should I do? I don’t wanna raw dog it flopping freely.
You can use those small double sided tape squares from target just use one square at the end of the m.2 where the screw should be. That’s strange there’s no screw hole in the body of the laptop. Try to place it on the label of the ssd if possible. That way it doesn’t damage the ssd let me know if that works out.
