Addon Yorkshire, First Drive | OMSI 2

I'm late as usual, but here's my first drive of many on the new payware Yorkshire map - i.e. the successor to the popular freeware map, Yorkshire Counties 2.0. Now that the map is payware and a product of Masterswitch Studios, has it seen the jump in quality that we would expect? In this video I take my first drive, on route 83a which passes the maps #1 feature.. Hillswick Viaduct! I hope you enjoy my first look at Yorkshire.

andddd we are live! Not sure why RU-vid is having issues today, but I'm so glad this video is finally up - apologies if the video quality isn’t as good as usual, hopefully it gets fixed automatically by RU-vid. Apologies also for the poor quality mic audio at times, I am looking to get a new mic asap to improve the full-commentary drives. Aside from all that, I hope you all enjoy the video!

I think the issue is the codec RU-vid uses to compress videos (it prioritises speed over quality). I'm having the same issue, I've tried exporting in 1440p instead of 1080p, that helps but not all phones/tablets/monitors have the option to change the resolution that high when the video is uploaded.

Brilliant video as usual Lukeo! 83A is one of my favorites, everyone seems to like it. I recommend the 75 next, now that.. is a very nice drive!

21:30 It's got silver tree things at the top front, a sofa upstairs and extra poles downstairs infront of the high up seats over the wheel.

Hey, Lukeo. It's not a bug or glitch the police are there because the route 83A has been cut short to Westfield Police Station because of Police Accident (RTC) by the roundabout which you saw in your video at the beginning. On the repaint it mentions the 83A goes from Stratham to Waivesworth. Hopefully the 83A gets the full route soon.

I doubt jt will. I presume it was always planned to go to the police hq but to make it more immersive the simulation was added.

Ahh yes I remember being confused when I saw Stratham on the repaint. About half way through the video I got that radio message about the RTC too, so it all makes sense now! Pretty cool, like iiBus said it’ll probs just stay like that but I hope we do get the full route because some new places for the map would be cool!

@@Lukeo Completely agree. Your so right that route was designed to be like that. But hopefully more routes or that route is fully driveable.

Waivesworth The map looks epic to have a good drive on. First impressions looks amazing. Nice one Lukeo 👍 I am hopeful to invest into a gaming PC so can experience it myself.

Great video. I have Yorkshire counties 3.0. I am unable to view the timetable, I am pressing Insert* as it says on the manual but it does not work. Can anyone help me please ?

Thanks! Hmm, firstly do you actually have an active duty/timetable for it to show you? But secondly, I'm assuming it'll depend on your specific key bindings so Insert* is probably just the default. You can check what you've got it set to from here: in OMSI, go to settings > keyboard > scroll until you find "g - view - time table" and see what key binding is assigned/you can also change it to your liking.

@@Lukeo thank you. I have now found a way of viewing the timetable, but clicking on the paper poking out from under the ticket machine! I discovered that today.

Waivesworth Also i feel like the other yorkshire counties maps had too manty straight, wide roads that kind of make it feel too 'perfect' and less british, do you know if there are some narrowier and more challenging routes in this map

Thanks for watching! Yeah I know what you mean! I’m not too sure yet tbh, will find out as I do some more routes - but I’m unfortunately I’m gonna guess no since all routes use long buses (11.5m Streetdeck & 12.4m B8RLE).
