This is *exactly* what I was looking for! I have everything ready and just need to address the envelopes but I am such a perfectionist that I couldn't even dare to attempt free-handing it without some kind of guide. Thank you a million times! Also, to anyone using the wax seals, you can also buy these little double-sided sticker tab things so that you can pre-make them, then attach later. You just make the stamp on a silicone mat, pop it off, then attach the sticker.
Love seals & the pink Pearl essences envelope makes everything even more elegant. Loved the white pen idea. Used it once for a beautiful pink intricate envelope. Don’t know why it hasn’t occurred to me to do it again. I had loved it. I don’t blame your Friends. I wouldn’t want to break the seal either but they can always cut open the side of the wedding invitation envelope. Win, win. Keep the seal intact and see the invitation. Yay!
Omg! It looks good! I am in charge of all family invites for most events, got lazy and now use word mail merge with a cricut. I admire your dedication!
New subscriber here! My wedding is postponed to August due to COVID-19! But your wedding series has been helpful and now I have extra time to do them! ❤️
I’m so sorry you had to postpone your wedding! ): I know it’ll still be a special day and I’m glad that you’re able to work on more DIYs for your wedding! Thank you for your support 💛
would love to know how much you spend doing this yourself VS how much it would’ve cost you to get a stationary company to do it? Would also love to see your invites !!
Most calligraphers will charge per envelope, usually going for $1.50+/envelope on Etsy and that does not include the price of the envelope! So it definitely does add up. And here’s a link to my invite design: www.minted.com/product/foil-pressed-wedding-invitations/MIN-5BX-IFS/classic-elegance Hope this helps give you better perspective! (:
I think it just took a lot of practicing! I would emulate other people’s style and then did what felt natural to me. I still like to play around a lot with how I write letters, it’s really like drawing (:
I have a lot of pen pals (~10) and I always get charged the non machinable surcharge for putting the wax seal on the outside. I live in the US and mail within country if that matters
For my envelopes, I used a hot glue gun and glue gun wax seals! I also talk about it in another video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tqaem7-rjlg.html Hope this helps! (:
Hello Tina 👋🏽 lol I was wondering if you have ideas for wedding decor I can pack for my destination wedding. We’re only having one big round table for 10 of us Me, Him and our kids lol And I wanted some cute decor for our honeymoon room (it’s a brightly coloured “cabin” near the beach in the Bahamas) xx
I think since it’s such an intimate event, you should have very personalized pieces! For example, I got these laser cut place cards from Etsy for my wedding party and they loved them. Such a small item, but makes guests feel so special! I also would suggest you get in touch with some local artists and florists in the area so you can have items delivered straight to your destination (: I think florals can really transform a space! If I think of anything else, I will update you 💖
Oh! For your honeymoon, definitely get a sign with your last name or a banner. That makes for a great photo op! I would also suggest one of those married themed sun hats! I was gifted one at my bridal shower that said “Happily Ever After” and took some cute pics at the beach on my honeymoon (:
