Btw not to mention, there used to be a 7 day event called “Seize the Day” every month or so until February. While the rewards were meh (around 300 primos), they were still “significantly better” than the current online daily login for just 60 primos. It shows how since February, the company’s treatment towards the community as well as its PR has taken a nose-dive and testing our competence.
It's because at the start, they were just happy poeple wanted to play their game. Now? They don't care, they know genshin has no competitors and that they can do whatever they want.

Probably because they listened to so many people complaining about the resin cap - notice how the primos on the monthly give you a refill for resin? This game isn’t supposed to be easy-breezy to the endgame! You have to grind for artifacts, you have to hunt for treasure (unless you’re too lazy, which is why they threw in the compasses), and you have to check in every d*** day just to slowly stack up what you need. This is a game for MASOCHISTS, who love how long it takes to grind their characters up to decency. If you don’t like how it’s run, then you shouldn’t be playing it! Mihoyo targeted a specific group of people when creating and releasing this game, and unfortunately, because several other groups (ie. otakus, gacha fanatics, lovers of graphics, open worlds, and bored games) picked it up, they’re now getting fed up with everyone. Because people can’t stop complaining about EVERY D*** THING, the Devs decided to show how they felt by putting a NPC on Seirei Island that has an idle animation of giving the world the full-sized version of “F*** You”.
Genshin is an amazing game and the developers that made the open world, designing the characters and making the music are doing such an amazing job. I love them and all the effort they do so much. But the management team or whoever that decides the rewards for things such as the anniversary and daily log-in (that’s not even in-game, but on a website ugh) are doing such a terrible job like god damn
I don't think the rewards are a company policy thing. We got really good stuff in Honkai and ToT. It is really just Genshin's rewards that sucks. So it is more of the different development team. ToT got 30 rolls for 1-month anniversary, Honkai's CN players got physical gift boxes (with snacks and puzzle games) mailed to them during summer holidays if they hit the maximum rank (AR), and get a phone call from the voice actors to thank them as part of the anniversary events. The company didn't have to provide player welfare outside of the game, but they did anyway. So I don't think it was because the corporate wasn't generous (can you imagine the postal fees for those gift boxes?). The development team need to first come out with ideas for the corporate to support, then things will happen.

Shouldn't you honestly appreciate your cash cows more by I don't know make kits that make sense so that all characters are good, making people have FOMO and potentially want all of them thus turning them into potential spenders, the good kind of being greedy by giving developers money while players satisfying products. Also by being a generous in the anniversary rewards, you can hook in new players which means more potential spenders. But no they chose a different kind of greedy, that doesn't benefit anyone at all.
what hurts most is you see all this music and open world sceneries, character designs and the lore, people at mihoyo worked their ass off to do that project and it shows, but then you have the marketing&that EA level monetization teams that look like monkeys compared to the others

i was already beginning to feel burnt out by the start of kokomi's banner despite pulling for her even though she was done horribly dirty by mihoyo (which i think had something to do with it.) the lack of real anniversary rewards made it so much worse. i started playing cookie run and i haven't been on genshin in 4 days now :// the game has just lost it's sparkle for me right now. i hope mihoyo can fix this i really do

Some weeks ago they nerfed Lisa - one feature with energy. They even didn’t say anyone , they told us - it is kind of bug that wasn’t in the description . This “bug” was in the game since release. A lot of people made guides which connect with this skill . And now they nerfed one of the most unpopular character and even didn’t give freemogems for this wasteland patch. Why? It was a hidden nerf . But internet remember everything. Ah , and you know ? Cringe situation with honey impact.

I have never felt more burnt out Genshin then today. I think I reached my limit.....I was so sleepy and didn’t wanna spend time but my brain was like-“ Get those Jade talisman and get chests”. I wanted to play something else but my brain is “Use your resin and explore more.”. The quest was so boring to me. I was trying to get hyped but I felt tired......but for some reason I don’t wanna quit. My brain keeps telling me-“ Play till the end. Reach Celestia”. I want a break but I am legit in denial. I can’t believe a video game did this to me.........I wanna live my life but.....I can’t

Agree but it’s also translation difference! Have you heard the difference with Hu Tao’s hillichurl song? I don’t know who is translating English for Genshin Impact but it’s _asshit_. Apparently in Chinese and Japanese, Kokomi say more precise lines from The Art of War book. And many said Zhongli whole Chinese line is poetry.

My game is subed in French, during Yoimiya's story it was FULL of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, sentences that made no sense, changes of register etc... But at least, I feel like they don't f up as much as the English team. BTW Rosaria is spelled Rosalia in the French subs.
art of war is a chinese book. they know it better than the japanese. however the game has an age 12/13 above rating, so they cannot go into making it too real. imagine if they have an older character design for the traveller, it would probably be more appealing to older(not 13) gamer, from the start they design the game to be too young. as for kokomi, it is obvious they did not spend enough time building up the war, why? probably because they don't want to create too much faction in the fanbase. like AOT has a hardcore Yeagerist vs scout flame war. so the war was always going to be derpy. afterall their main sell is raiden... they did setup her to fail.

There is an important thing to point out here: Dev teams did NOTHING WRONG here. Marketing teams, communication teams are the ones to blame. It really is significant in a negative way to post videos where you blame the devs, because the average young playerbase, that has no clue what a company looks like, will spread the blame on the devs (or VAs). If any blame is to be made, at least let it not be directed towards the wrong people. Devs are like Xinyans, left in the shadow when they should be praised cause they rock and are hardworking and under pressure.

honestly i kind of miss all the leaks that we used to get. esepecially during hu tao where we would get little bits of her gameplay and it was this buildup to her finally being released. thoma leaks was literally everything in the span of an hour. everything just feels empty rn (besides seeing all the liyue girls in the current event i love them so much) and it sucks cuz this game made me so happy back in december - march and then when kazuha was released but now its just ... dread...
All leaks nowadays is pretty clickbaity and through all genshin leaks...let's be honest all of them still not even that informative and pretty much amateur, i barely bother all of them till now since we know those content will avaliable. Last time the only decent leak that make me question their marketing is the monthly resin card that cost 5 dollar for 40 resin per/day.

They mostly got pay and bribe other beta tester to get the info for a quick bucks then post it in public then call it a day which is illegal imo, the 1.5 leak is not even that much of am impact, but their original plan to release the monthly resin card is by far the only usefull info that made people question their game direction from all of the leaks.
They invested a lot in advertisement to promote the new update with huge billboards, posters on the metro, collaboration with RU-vidrs (who aren't even Genshin RU-vidrs) but they can't give us proper rewards for this kind of event that only takes place one time a year... When it's your own birthday the game gift you a cake and a fragile resin, it really shows how generous they are with us... Whales are those who made Genshin Impact one of the most profitable gacha game don't care about anniversary rewards because they already have everything at R5 or any character at C6 so Mihoyo probably doesn't feel the need to reward the plebeians that are dolphins or F2P. At this point I don't even know what I'm looking forward in the game. I'm more into husbandos than waifus but it's clear that Mihoyo wants to cater to those chinese whales that are prominently men by giving them waifus after waifus. We are fucking getting our 1st new 4 star male character in the next patch...

I saw someone mentioned that he basically knew nothing about the game pre-launch even if he was an active gacha player but started it because he saw his friends on Discord playing it. I too started it because of the hype around it, despite hating the gacha system and how the game itselft was advertised. It's also the community (which is in majority a mix of F2P, low-spenders and dolphins) that are keeping this game afloat and still relevant by mentioning it here and there, with fan-artists creating drawings, with people talking about it on social medias... (have you seen how many people are watching their livestreams even if most of them knew about everything beforehand thanks to leaks ?) The game popularity could have died down after his launch, but it didn't thanks to the vast majority of F2P players that stayed and made the game relevant in the long run. It's the first chinese game with this kind of popularity outside of China, the least they could have done is show for this anniversary how grateful they were without making any distinction between those who spend on the game and those who didn't because each of them had in some way or another helped the game getting there. I did buy a Welkin Moon last month because as you said I wanted to "thanks" the company for making this well-crafted game for free but seeing how disdainful they are to their community I will not spend more before they make any change

The worst part is that, seeing how the anniversary is turning out to be such a shit show, there's literally no reason to get hyped for Christmas or New Year's, which is a period that has always gotten me excited on gacha games i've played before. miHoYo went full introvert mode since around 1.3-1.4 version and is not going to talk with us. Do you remember those Dev Q&A's with questions which no one asked? They did it 2 or 3 times and community generaly was like "wtf are those questions?" but I actually miss them because those showed that they care a bit. I know there are new patch streams but those are more like advertisement than communication.
At least the newspaper with wacky data like the amount of people who ate the food instead of delivering and the biggest amount of times a single player drowned, was funny, harmless and showed a lil engagement from their side.
Genshin’s anniversary is like being invited to a birthday party, getting a speech about how much the host appreciates you, then right before food is served you get little trinket souvenirs and then told the party’s over.

As a wow refugee I'm really getting PTSD about a dev just giving up on their playerbase for no apparent reason. I really enjoy Genshin, more than most. I really hope this blows over because I thought Mihoyo was pretty strong at the start. The updates had all the fixes people wanted, every new character was exciting and strong. Tea Pot was awesome, Dragonspine was great. And every since Inazuma it just went downhill. The story quests are still great but everything else is very meh. Also, I loved your sense of humor and choice of words in this video. It's great listening to your rants while anticipating the next oddball metaphor or sick burn.
I'm also a WOW refugee who plays Genshin I've been playing for about a month now, and while I'm dissapointed in Mihoyo about these rewards. I'm still love this game.
even the story quests are shitty now. the inazuma questline felt so rushed and was very underwhelming. kokomi and sara got no proper characterization even though they seemed to have important roles in the story, especially kokomi as the leader of the resistance. sara just gets defeated in battle and we never see her again. play any rpg game and you'll realize genshin's storywriting and quests are trash.
@@anna-fi3yy I don't agree. I've played a bunch of RPG's and I don't think this is out of the ordinairy. It might handle its side characters suboptimally but I do think they make it up in much better dialogue. Unlike many other eastern RPG's I don't feel the urge to skip past all the dialogue. Since in a lot of RPG's there is way too much redundancy in the dialogue so even the lowest common denominator can keep up. Genshin's dialogue feels a bit smarter than that. Also good humor. I can understand that fans of Kokomi might be disappointed, but I am fortunate to not give a single care for her. She's very boring to me so the less screentime the better.
It should be mentioned - it costs 5000 ONLY with special offert. If you haven't reached sufficient reputation it in specific region, you can't afford even that. Also it applies only to one shop & restaurant per region, I'm not sure now, but I think you can find salt offered somwhere else, so still you can't afford to buy 100 salt from daily login mora.
"there won't be any more Kokomi right?" Nope. There would be more of her. Mihoyo is doubling down on character uniqueness rather than character meta which would end up being copies of each other. Seriously, if Kokomi didn't have her negative crit, she'd be no different than Barbara. Does it come at the cost of making her weak? True but Mihoyo rather have that than another character that is just a slightly different previous character. And Kokomi being one of the lowest sale is expected by Mihoyo. Despite them saying that they expect people would buy characters for non-gameplay reasons (waifu, aesthethic etc etc), the truth is that that's only half of the truth, one that Mihoyo knows (but isn't going to admit). People still consider gameplay and in most games and especially in games like Genshin, offense is prerable. Kokomi being healer in a game that doesn't require much of it, it too mention there's other healers available attributed to her low sale. Mihoyo isn't going to do much to change because they can afford to. There would be always another person that doesn't care about the drama and would continue playing and support the game until all of the drama dies down. Then there's the lack of competition as well. Sad to say, but complain and give feedback as part of your initiative but don't expect much beyond that.
That's cool and all but mihoyo could have, you know, compensated for not critting? It's a good idea on paper to make building characters more unique, but mihoyo basically gave Kokomi no crit in exchange for 25% healing bonus, that's not even a whole circlet. But i do agree with the rest, it sucks for Kokomi mains but they will be ingored just like Yoimiya mains were, just because they are the subject of the "waifu>meta" thing mihoyo is trying to push.
and people wanna defend that of kokomi bc they breathing in hard copium to say shes good. Sure kokomi is a great healer, but with the amount of resources u would need to invest on her, barbara could probably even do better with the same investments

To be honest, even though I’m not really that far into Genshin (I’m only like AR 38), after seeing the anniversary and all of the monotony that the game makes you go through for jack shit, from my own experiences and especially from what I’ve seen from others, I can definitely say that yeah the game really does give little in reward for all of the shit you have to put up through, especially for those who just want to enjoy the game and not spend their life savings on shit

i think you guys need to take a break from the game if you start to play the game like its a burden on you, then it will inevitably lead to getting burnt out and getting done with the game You can spend all the extra time on other things such as hobbies, sports etc And you can always come back once new updates come

Why would you want to even come back? Nothing will change. Really it's just coming down to how long we can push ourselves to keep playing. Once we take a break that's it. Why come back?
Lol, this just happened? This has been a problem since content dried up after the Liyue Archon Quest came out, there was basically nothing but filler content for months and months.
Genshin's dev should really followed Another Eden's dev examples. Another Eden's free characters are actually powerful and can be compared with gacha characters and yet people still spend money on the game with the purpose of supporting it. The AE devs also directly interact with their communities(The devs interact with them through reddit. They're cool people I can say.) and it blooms a positive community. Tho Another Eden does have powercreep, their old characters are still relevant as times goes by. In my 2 years experience with Another Eden community, I can say that a communicative Devs are one of main key for a great community. Heck, even if someone being toxic, they actually show remorse and apologize afterwards. Even with their horrible gacha experience, AE community just use that as roast and the devs just take those positively. This is prove that devs should really interact with their community rather than keeping silent.
It didn't even felt like we got rewards..if mihoyo had even gave us a free 4 star and some extra 10 pulls most of the people may have been satisfied and outrage may have calmed down
Maybe from now on, every time we think of something could be better, we need think again that this is a Chinese game. Which means, it's pandering to Chinese policies instead global. Chinese government > investors > players. Which is technically not wrong but it's not a good thing too towards global players. Don't think of it as other global, US based games that might be better in communication. The game being Chinese should also be taken into consideration when you about to give feedback, etc I'm not racist towards China since i myself also an Asian. Simple reason why trial charactes have such awful artifacts is that is how the average casual player who don't give much crap about farming perfect sets or researching optimal bulds actually would build them. You don't see them much in the active community but they still are the largest chunk of player base. If you give these trial characters good artifacts a casual player who won't even look at them will be confused why the trial Yoimiya did 20k damage and their Yoimiya that they spent their money on only does 2k and call false advertisment.
It's weird jumping into co-op now. Either someone immediately kicks you out or people start shooting at you with bows and electrocuting you when you're standing in the water in front of the crimson witch domain. I just want to play healy fish girl man, is that so much to ask.
I'm gonna be the devil's advocate here and say the surveys actually have a positive impact on the future events. Not gonna say that typing "more primos" will change something, but the actual feedback from past events made a difference now. For example: The new event has the same style of the Dragonspine and Summer events but they actually added something to move from spot to spot faster than teleporting and running a mile, the very FIRST event was a hole fiasco and they completely removed the resin aspect to colect rewards from future events, and there are many other positive changes for the GAMEPLAY. Also MY personal opinion on those trial runs of new characters is that bad artifacts are actually not even a problem since if you don't pull day 1 is actually a good thing and if the characters were actually cracked out of this world it would be just bad influence to pull. NOTE: I'm not saying Mihoyo is perfect and did nothing wrong, just that they actually listen to some feedback.
People complained about too much NPC stuff in the Lantern festival and since them all of the similar events were heavy on the characters, you can choose to send your world level down once and popular mini games like Theater Mechanics will be coming back every now and then. That’s honestly the only cases I can think of about the surveys having an actual impact going forward.
The story has been wack as well main reason i started genshin was because of the lore and really good character stories we got at the beginning like vanessa, celestia, fatui lore etc but now they just ruined all of it? they slap the good lores on artifacts and call it a day u have to read some 2-3 lines on it eg crimson witch of flames, the main story line now has just become a dating simulator its just so preditable at this point idek if i'll play if future stories are like this

@@spiderlily3311 Not only that, but the devs want you to like Raiden and think she's sooooo cute. Like this character is directly responsible for countless deaths, why the hell would we like her? Because she's sad about immortality problems? With Zhongli he had the sense to step down only when he saw that others were capable of taking over for him, but Raiden ran away from her problems and put a literal puppet in charge. Hell, even now she still plans for the puppet to STAY in charge despite needing to reprogram it, but to me it just reads as her not learning the lesson at all and continuing to sidestep her responsibilities as a god. Not to mention that despite being defeated by the combined wishes and ambitions of her people, her attitude is still that of one that is completely above and disconnected from said people. Even if she recognizes that she can't stop Inazuma from changing, it doesn't seem like she has any plans to not just do what she's been doing and hiding away in the Plane of Euthymia. Meanwhile, in non-Raiden related story stuff, Kujou Sara is just a total jobber. The only person she beats is Kazuha's friend, off-screen, and then in every other appearance she's just handily beaten. Battle with the resistance? Beaten. Negotiations with Watatsumi Island? Beaten again. Goes to tell the truth to the Shogun? Raiden doesn't care, and also she's beaten by Signora off-screen.
It almost feels like Mihoyo got the money and now they're just doing not even the bare minimum to milk what little money they can get off the few who'd even bother to support them after this. Then after a few years, they'd shut the game down or just make it a shadow of what it was. Hope they turn around but it's hard to be hopeful after this mess. They aren't even trying to save face. How hard is It to literally code something that gives all players like 20k primos. Fuck man. This whole situation just makes me feel sad more than anything.
Now that you said this it does feel like it, but honkai is still going strong so i don't understand their carelessness. Why do you want to give up on your most profitable game and keep the other going strong, i just don't get it.

What is the point of the private Testing when everytime somebody leaks/tests the character, they know they are weak, they report it to them and miHoYo does nothing? Like I heard so many time before Yoimiya and Kokomi got released that how bad they are and that they are hoping they will buff them or rework them...but they dont, like... what is the point of testing? Only change I remember that happened when character came on live servers was Ganyu R cd, that wasnt even needed since she was already OP, like wth...

Doing my daily commissions and using my resin, completing the events already felt like a chore now. I can't quit I want the primos from the welkin and the commissions. I want to take a break, maybe just do the daily commissions and farm some artifacts and then logout, after this event. I'm trying to find some other games, because genshin just feels like a daily chore at this point. I think taking some time off will be better for my mental health.

Great video to listen to while eating dinner, I personally never had a problem whaling on Genshin cause I really enjoyed it I was blind to a lot of things. But seeing the anniversary community rewards (and other points you bring up in the video like how out of touch they are and Kokomi) it almost made me feel sick that I spent money on this game. Cause I care about it so much and for the first time started noticing all the bad things and how much Mihoyo don't care about us and or the game. It was a slap in the face and a wake up call. All I do now is use 5 condensed resin a day it's quite sad considering how much I like the game.
when you list all the things one after one like that, it sounds even worse. like, my enthusiasm about the game died about 3 months ago, and about a month ago I stopped doing dailies, and about 2 weeks ago i stopped even starting the game daily. I'm burned out, man. 2.0 was good but not too exciting. 2.1 felt like a disappointment. and now seeing the rewards, I'm glad I'm not super into GI anymore, otherwise Id probably be so mad and lowkey hurt. all of this is sad. good vid, man, love you :(

@@digichu007 honkai had low audience and mihoyo didnt make enough money from it so its understandable, but mihoyo MADE AROUND BILLIONS OF DOLLARS from genshin, yet they only give us a 10 pull, web events that having art/video editing skills is compulsory for it, and only a top up bonus? after they made billions? this is why everyone is moving to other games because mihoyo doesnt give a damn about genshin anymore.

I used to be so excited about logging in to this game every day and now it's such a chore... I don't feel like my effort is being rewarded. And the situation with leakers I think also really hurt them - people find leaks exciting and it builds anticipation. The lack of leaks for 2.2 is really lowering many people's engagement with the game...
i don't think there's anything they could do to spin the whole yoimiya + shimenawa set into something that makes sense, but as a yoimiya main i find it really annoying how her skill (where literally all her damage comes from) requires her to be on field and you can't switch out and then come back and continue using it (like how diluc's ult lets you rotate characters and come back to him and it's still active) bc then i could turn on yoimiya's skill (losing the 15 energy), raiden shogun's ult (replenishes energy to the whole team) + skill, and then switch back to yoimiya with her skill still on and use her ult to get that extra aoe dmg thats missing from her skill smh. i know this isn't accessible for everyone since yoimiya and raiden shogun are limited characters, but even that would make my yoimiya main experience better. her '''uniqueness''' just leaves her lacking. no aoe dmg for skill attacks and an incomprehensible set that makes ppl use other sets and lose out on potential damage. obv damage isn't everything and it's still fun to play her but these little quirks make it kind of annoying. yoimiya mains deserve better. and anyone else feel like her playstyle isn't really beginner friendly? you have to have strategies and base knowledge abt rotations and timing in order to get elemental reactions and proc her ult... considering u can't leave the field when her skill is on, its so weird to me how she can't proc her own ult.
i've been getting really tired of genshin. i don't have time to exercise (mostly school's fault tho), the lack of endgame content, the never ending grind, mhy's response (or lack of response) to everyone just tires me. i really want to delete genshin and never look back, but i don't have anything else i can do. i could draw, but my hands are already in pain. i could 3d model, but what's the point? i could go outside and touch some grass, but there's no one i have to explore with. above all this is the sheer pressure of school. i do all my work but its just so tiring, even more so than genshin and genshin's really cutting into the time i have for school. i know i should quit but i just keep coming back to end up becoming even more disappointed because there's nothing else to distract me from the work that school is forcing me to do. does anyone know of any good hobbies?
you could have talked about the Jean skin, with its massive overprice and they didn't address that. they just never made skins again. They try things and drop them. How many days has it been since we got new hangouts. Why is Aloy just in the mail and didn't get her own quest or something? why did we never get more banners for standard chars. Why does the weapon pity reset.

So in the end, most of the players (including me) woke literally whole night just so we could feel happy about anniversary rewards and ayaka's birthday. Even though I was expecting very low, I never thought mihoyo would make me realise that you don't EXPECT anything from them. Not even a bit cuz no matter how low your expectations are, Mihoyo will disappoint you for sure. They didn't even do some changes in-game for the anniversary. No anniversary banner too. Idk how will the white knights defend mihoyo now?

Facts, man... facts. I actually like this game but I am honestly feeling listless on playing a game wherein devs/management team don't care about their playerbase. I've totally lost all expectations and hopium from the actions they've chose to take. Very disappointing.
Honestly i just feel really burn out, i've been playing since 1.0, seen friends start playing and quitting afterwards, this drama made me realize im not enjoying playing anymore, its quite sad.
Mihoyo sucks at balancing. They are trying so hard to avoid making a ganyu or zhongli level character that most new characters suffer from a lack of hype due to being super lack luster. This spreads to other things in the game as well, where the events, weapons, rewards are so scaled back that nodoby really is able to get hype or have their hype rewarded.
At this point, a lot of people are playing solely because the sunk cost fallacy, which is quite sad considering what the game is capable of when doing things right. The messy inazuma storyline, characters with bad kits, shit anniversary rewards... I miss the archipelago days
The problem is that Genshin has no real competitor in which it can be compared to. Imagine if you wanted to play an open world anime styled game and you had two options instead of one what's gonna happen is that these two companies are going to compete for your time and attention not only through gameplay but through community rewards, in-game events and their communities. Mihoyo management realizes that they have a monopoly on this kind of game and so they try to get away with this kind of shit while they still can because the moment Genshin has competition (and it will) they will have to incite the player base to stay with rewards, free stuff as well as better communication. mark my words the moment Genshin loses it's place as the be all end all anime open world game to play you're gonna see that login event happening on patch to patch bases you're gonna see them fix those dumbass fucking things in the game that make no sense like Klees bombs not getting pulled by Venti but they get pulled by Kazuha, the fucking Raiden/Beidou non-synergy that makes absolutely no sense.

Funny how in the latest event quest, practically every character in Liyue BUT Xinyan made a quick appearance or was at least mentioned. Hell, Dr. Baizhu made an appearance and he won't be a playable character 'til next year at least! Maybe that might change later, but it's still telling of how little Mihoyo cares about that character at all. It's a shame, I like her look and personality, but her gameplay is designed in such a way where she's hard to fit into most teams. Even as a physical support she's annoying to play around because she's pyro, she's not much of a DPS character even though her C1 specifically buffs that aspect, and even with it her attacks are still fairly slow with weak multipliers. She suffers from split scaling between DEF for her shield and ATK for everything else, and for some stupid reason her C6 that's meant to bridge those stats only applies to her Charge Attack. Even with it building DEF doesn't lead to as much damage as building normally would. Like what? Who made this? Even her passive talents don't mesh, since she gets a chance to duplicate DEF buffing foods, but her own specialty dish buffs ATK! It's looking like Thoma will end up being a much better version of Xinyan without the Physical aspects (which is fine, making non-Cryo/Electro characters physical-focused was a mistake to begin with). I feel like Xinyan is the first example of Mihoyo trying and failing to make a character "unique," but all they ended up doing was making a character that just isn't very good or useful.
I just wish her shield CD was a LOT shorter. Hell, fucking Zhonglis shield CD is shorter and by the time his CD is up, I still have my shield up. As much as I love Xinyan, Mihoyo definitely needs to tweak her set. Zenzen rokku ja nee!!! (Sorry I had to lol)

The Beidou Ei interaction should work but it can't because of how Beidou works. Beidou triggers on the damage of the auto not the action of the auto. Ei is performing auto attack animations but is dealing ult damage, so that won't trigger Beidou. The reason why it used to work is because she didn't do ult damage and so didn't work with emblem. For Beidou and Ei to actually work they'd have to straight up rework Beidou from the ground up.
