I can't overstate how much of a mind f**k it was when I discovered Twitch was a pedo. I mean He was literally grooming kids. He was Robo-EDP.

Amen to that. It is devastating to me because out of all the communities I am a part of, rockman/megaman is one of the most wholesome. But the circle of chaos that surrounded reploid revo, not just in the recent fiasco, but for years has been a poison to the well. His absurdist theories, how he mobbed up a small clique of people to bully and ostracized people in the mm community has been appaling. The series is all but dead, so the fandom is what is the identity of a series ai cherished so much growing up. Hopefully we all have time to heal now and enjoy these games again with one another.

I don't recall deleting anything on that post. Are you sure the RU-vid filters didn't pick it up? That tends to happen when certain comments have particular words that trigger the filters.

Yet not surprising either given what he was up to before this all dropped. What’s more shocking is how much his toxicity and general bastardness went unhindered in the community until that one meme short set off the domino effect.

Most youtubers accused of doing something bad end up doing the apology video where they say more or less "I regret my actions and will become a better person", which feels insincere. Seeing the person just drop everything and flat out leave feels more legit.

As a former fan of REVO myself and as someone who has also watched that long af documentary about his drama, let me tell you: don't look back at the dumpster fire and try to forget about him; it's for the better.

For all we know, he might be setting up shop in another community unaware of him. Wait, I just got an update; he’s been sighted in a known gaming fandom that attracts content creators no longer welcomed in their original communities and it’s... It’s... It’s Friday Night Funk! No? Maybe Minecraft would have made it land better since it’s got a connection to Mega Man and... The fact he’s got the unholy combination of SkyDoesMinecraft and Lionmaker Studios rolled into one with a bit of John Swan thrown in. Whatever’s the case, I’ve seen cases similar to this but he’s the first example of being a toxic type, a dishonest type and a creep type at the same time.

In light of what’s come out against him, I have to wonder if the good parts of his videos were actually other people’s ideas.

We can do without it, consuming good content by bad people is how they retain the platforms they used to hurt the people who went on to become their victims.

@@gagejoseph91 I say this because of the Lucas Gilbertson interview when it came out that an old friend had been the one to make it possible that he took all the credit for. It’s not “bad faith” nor “rhetoric” is it is a question of how much of the strength of his channel were actually his own and how much was it because of the others working with him that covered his weak points. If you’ve seen that 3 hour video on him (The Tragedy of Reploid REVO) or even that Plagiarism and You(Tube) Video from months ago, it’s not an unfounded question for me to be asking out aloud given his own track record. Whatever great stuff he did come up with, we can’t be sure on how much of it is really due to him or having someone around to make those ideas work as they did. Perhaps he did make all that good stuff which him noticed at large by the community but you also have those who see him a hack fraud reading off from the wiki. His reputation as being a difficult guy to work with plus the other facts regarding him as a creator makes it hard to be certain of anything coming from him.

The Japanese community of Mega Man is decent compared to western side of Mega Man community. Great fan arts from JP community.

I didn’t know any of REVO’s toxicity on other platforms since I was tuned out from his stuff probably long before he started becoming a cancer in the community.

He did something that not even Sigma, Lumine, Copy X, Serpent, Master Albert, every single Mega Man Legends antagonist, and _Dr. Weil_ would do. BurnCrowSP has a documentary that covers the whole thing, but be aware of the disturbing subject matter being covered.

Or maybe someone ELSE should do lore videos?

And preserve his legacy? No, that's really not a good thing to have ... besides most of his content was hit with copyright by the artist who provided some of the fan art that came with those videos.

Honestly, someone (or a group of people) should take the scripts from those videos, add & modify parts of them, and make a lore channel with multiple hosts who each do different videos, or parts of videos. Basically, copy his homework, and change it to add a different flair, a less condescending attitude, and more than one host in case one does bad shit, or is unavailable for other reasons.

@@commandervile394 he made a video about how calling X and Zero Reploids is fine because "that's what they are" since according to him "replica of X" is not a thing and there was no name for what they are until Cain came along. People, including me, commented along the lines of "They're still made by Light and Wily and Cain only coined the term in the future, for us players that know the lore they're still Advanced Robot Masters". He doubled down and made a couple shorts basically saying "I'm right, you're all wrong" Edit: also forgot how he was cherry picking articles calling either one Reploid despite media almost always getting it wrong and also citing points in the story where X and Zero refer to themselves as Reploids, ignoring the gigantic fact they don't know squat about their past or what even a RM is, like, why would they. And who would use that as proof lmao

@@commandervile394 The argument goes like this: Zero and X were both designed and built before Reploids were ever a thing... so then they aren't Reploids, simply advanced Robot Masters. But the other side says, "No, they were just the first Reploids. All other Reploids were designed based on the prototypes of Zero and X - a merger of both Wily and Light's latest designs, but made simpler and more mainstream/mass-production viable. So take your pick - are they the earliest Reploids/Prototype Reploids? Or are they simply highly advanced Robot Masters pre-dating what Reploids are?

Also on the same situation as you, but I watched the first like 8 minutes of that video and what I got is that the guy was flirting with underage people from his own fanbase on discord and etcetera. How that escalates for the rest of the 2h video I don't know, but it's already a huge negative just on the start. If someone can tell the rest of the story, I'm not part of any community I just watch magnus videos.

@@lovingfool2060 Yeah, I watched that video showing evidence of said allegations but it looks to me it's just a lot of finger-pointing and a very toxic polyamorist relationship spilling out onto the internet (gee...what a surprise that it went so wrong). Also from the "gr00ming" allegations it appeared that he didn't even know said people were underage, and once he found out he ceased that behavior towards them. Now I don't really care about the "misgendering" or "Racist" bs or whatever...if people are that triggered about that they need to grow thicker skin, I'm more concerned about the actual IRL abuse as you said.

He even got me into model kits and gave me a guide he made on how to do em. Shame to see him go out like this. And he never finished that game he was working on either

@@chriss.249 Well, after watching a summarized video of the "incidents" in which he was involved in, all I can say, that is what b1tches will do to a guy. Looks like he was involved in a heavily toxic polygamorist relationship that spiraled out of control and spilled onto Twitter. There was also a lot of "anonymous" testimonies about him which is basically heresay and can't be verified one way or the other, besides that, he only said a few dumb things on twitter that triggered a bunch of mentally weak people and they cancelled him for it. I'm not defending the guy but you are the company you keep....he may have been a shitty person but he also surrounded himself with shitty people too, it looks like.

Same; that stuff was great despite the fact that it was made by a heinous person. Thankfully, most of his videos (or the ones I watched at least) have been backed up in the WayBack Machine, so you can still watch them there. His RE-visions video hasn't been backed-up though; a pity, that was a favourite one of mine., since it pretty much fixed the story of the X series.
