Wow, when did it get so popular? When I went to NYC the last time, I didn’t see any line this long. He deserved it though. The owner is literally so nice and humble
@@kenfern2259 i tried halal food last month and shit it did go down i was like wth is this. Last time i tried it back in 2015 it was really good. I guess that what happens after you expand

Jimmy Fallon has nothing to do with that cart’s popularity. It would be busy like that anywhere, it’s so good. We ate at some high-end destination restaurants, but this was the best meal we had in NYC. I think about it everyday.
The Islamic halal slaughter of animals is seen to be the most humane and healthy way to slaughter an animal, it is done by cutting the major blood vessels of the animals, this ensures rapid and complete blood loss, also done in a fraction of a second to ensure that the animal won't feel anything
No it's not! It's viewed as horrific for the animal. Halal is bullshit done by undeveloped humans whose brains are still in the dark ages. Halal is terrible for any and all animals.
Also, not too far, there's Omar's Mediterranean. They make one of the best Chicken Sharwarma sandwhiches, they too have a line stretching around the block. They even give you a free piece of baklavah.

I do think portion it's a reason why these carts are always crowded with people aside of taste. it's so abundant worth a bucks. You can eat it at night and save it next morning later.

@@ind-rishiyt1600 I don't know where you got your science from, but even from movies you can know that cutting the main 3 jugular veins in the neck (which is exactly where it should be for Halal slaughter method & Kosher as well), with a sharp knife, will cause rapid bleeding and death in 5 - 30 seconds depending on the size of the animal. Even humans can't get past a minute, and also lack of oxygen supply makes you feel numb. What does blood supply to the body? Yep, you got it. Now you know the correct information :) ✌🏼 Peace
It's true, the meat does taste very different. Especially with chicken... non-halal or non-kosher chicken have this distinctive smell and taste in the meat (all due to blood not flowing out = which affects the meat quality) really like eating something "dead for a while", rather than "freshly dead", you know what I mean? 🤣🤣
Nah son you buggin they lost their touch The best halal food I’ve ever tried was in Bronx right in front of the Einstein hospital They gave you the option for rice and always go with the spicy It’s perfect
means you havent eaten there.. Adels season their chicken better and its not dry, also the rice is boomin, plus their sauces, and falafels are amazing too. Just shut it and go back into your moms basement.
49th/ 6th Ave, I love that area , it's amazing halal sooo good def getthe white sauce but even if you can't handle spicy just get a lil splash of red sauce because it is so great the layers of flavor, the guy is very nice .
@@Amandaseims1 true but I guess it appeals to people who want particular this good food and it's halal. Halal is the process where the animals are slaughtered in the most humane and painless way and blood is drained out entirely. It is an obligatory diet for certain people of faith so the line is worth the wait for some not most.
@@EM.K024 have u been to NYC before? There are literally halal carts on every corner, as said in my og comment. So you didn’t need to explain the process of what halal is, I am a vegan and know what halal entails, not humane at all, I get falafel and rice. But that’s beside the point. And trust me , it’s not the only good spot for halal food, it’s probs a place that got internet/tiktok hype of some sort and ppl want to go to that specific cart. Edit: I heard this particular cart was featured on Jimmy Fallon. That explains the long line. I doubt that out of all of Manhattan, this is the only cart that serves good portions and good food, coming from my own experience and reasoning as a New Yorker.
I've tried these kinds of food in nyc.. not sure though if this one but have tried different of them in different locations. Really yummy and the portions for me was good for 2 meals!
Late night after drinks and some chicken and lamb over rice wc bc with some 🌶️. One box for the train and one for the homeFridge. Cold during the day hits different 🍀🍀🎑
It is not the reason why it's so crowded. It's because the food is good, scratch that excellent! Every time I've tried to go there there is a line down the block. They have two I believe now and both of them have huge lines. In New York City if there's no line that means the food is not good and keep it pushing
@@ind-rishiyt1600it takes less than a minute. Not cutting a vien but severing the whole jugular. The blood just gushes out in one instant and immediate blood loos causes the animal to go unconscious almost immediately. Maybe do some research before you spew BS
a) halal meat just tastes different. b) it might be the closest thing to an office or something. c) hype, someone might recommend it to them Halal food is not just for Muslims, anyone can eat it.
@@shak9558 taste different? Different doesn't mean anything. Not saying it is for muslims only but why would I want to restrict myself to halal food??? Trust me I have eaten halal food, if I had used non halal meat I wouldn't have tasted any difference. You really didn't answer my question.

Easily put it is a category of food, like "best Vegetarian food" for example. It can be of any cuisine say Mediterranean, Asian etc but only Vegetarian options. Just like Kosher food too is a category, special requirements but can be any cuisine. That's all, nothing confusing I think 😃

I went to NYC, got lost, ended up in Brooklyn. I bought a hotdog, begged a McDonald’s to please let me use the bathroom, it was so filthy I decided to chance peeing in my clean car. I wound up at a toll booth, lady said it leads to Rockaway. I said, well that ain’t Jersey. Turned around, finally found the tunnel, got cursed out in Japanese by a tourist standing IN THE ROAD, taking a photo. Next day, I went to the Statue of Liberty, then drove home. Best vacation ever! 😂 Edit: I also got pickpocketed on the ferry.
@@ind-rishiyt1600when you cut the nerves the pain is not felt genius because the brain doesn't receive any signals. We do it with a very sharp knife to do it as quickly as possible and minimize the pain as sharper knife is safer and less painful than blunt. Also we drain out all the blood unlike machine cut or beheading in 1 stroke which freezes the blood
What I understand is, it's because there are so many foods that also contains even a little of alcohol. It's not all about Pork/Dog/some other kinds. Also I'm not a Fanatics, but you can search the way to call even chicken/cow meat as halal or not is, the Natural ways of killing & cutting animals, because many companies sell cow/chicken meat that killing with chemical & machine. Islamic way is even better which have Islamic Words to declare as asking permission to Allah SWT while be Grateful.

@@Nonifull the meat you eat every day from stunning: stunning results in pain, spasm and paralysis during the slaughtering process. Moreover, animals sometimes die due to the heart stopping which causes less bleeding out.
halal slaughter : The meat is also drained of all blood, which reduces the risk of foodborne illnesses. Additionally, halal meat is free from harmful additives, preservatives, and chemicals, making it a healthier option compared to other types of meat.
Nice video bro. Just a quick tip, "Halal" isn't a type of cuisine. It technically isn't a dietary requirement, but rather it's more a 'seal of approval' saying the meat is clean and sanitary, so Muslims or anyone else can eat it. Any type of world cuisine can be 'halal', the meat just needs to meet the requirement.
I prefer my animals killed humanely not having throat cut & bleed to death in pain, and yes i worked in slaughter house for over a year. You never show the lamb the knife it taints the meat😢
In halal slaughter, you can’t show the knife either, including when it’s being sharpened. And you must ensure that other animals don’t see the slaughtering
It's okay but there are quite a few places for Hodge food that don't have a line and are really good . I really like kabobs so I have my favorite place just for kabob.
