The NBL should be ashamed of themselves the Cairns Taipans have the 2nd Best defensive team in the league but the last 3-4 Games the Foul Count Has been so Lopsided that I think Eventually The Consumer Watch Dog will have to intervene for match fixing. Melb United have the 1st best defence but have never gotten repeated weeks with deficits of 20+ fouls not to mention Hawks getting 20+ fouls in the 4th quarter against Cairns. Some Governing Body needs to step in and investigate.
All the data points towards Cairns being 6th in the league in DEF. Unsure where "2nd Best Defensive Team" is coming from? They're literally 9th in Points conceded. They aren't a good defensive team. They've fouled 93 times over those 4 games, and their opponents have fouled 75. At what point do you start blaming the players/team for their lack of ability to not foul so much? It can't always be the refs/leagues fault. Maybe leading the league in TO's is causing a lot of fast break fouls which would make sense as to why they're #1 in Free Throw Attempts Conceded. Look at the numbers and the context.
@@SupercoachPleb they’ve said it multiple times on there game and nbl overtime that’s why Forde has been fined because he’s making the point why doesn’t united get back to back games with foul deficits if we’re 2nd and they are first. Sure taipans been woeful the last 2 games but there’s a reason the league are giving teams cheap points to team when they play cairns.
Totally understand the frustration, but Cairns lead the league in Total Fouls Received. Not one other team gets more calls. Ironically, they also lead in Total Fouls Committed. Even Steven I guess.@@kaynesworld4900
