I often drive into the city for University. When I see the city coming over the horizon on Main North Road, I sometimes say to myself that there should be more taller buildings. Then I remember the charm of Adelaide is the fact that it's a city sort of frozen in time. Sure it does have its disadvantages in the respect its not modernised like the other Capitals (bar Hobart), but that is what gives it character that the others just don't have. I've lived in Canberra, been to Sydney more times than I am willing to remember, been to Melbourne a number of times and Brisbane once. Of them all, Sydney comes close because of it's very old and early design, but the rest just don't feel the same.

Reminds me of what Brisbane was like 40 years ago with so few tall buildings.

My home for several years, and I still miss Adelaide to this date.

been living in Melbourne for over 2 years and sydney for over a year however born and raised in Adelaide, yes although adelaide isn't as beautiful as other major cities and probably isn't the best place to visit as a tourist with its non existence skylines. However in terms of liveability adelaide wins hands down. Low cost of living, connivence and everthing is a 20min drive
