All I can think about is Kirishima feeling like he's not as important to Bakugo as Bakugo is to him and so when he tries to tell him he likes him Kirishima second-guesses himself and backs out. He distances himself from Katsuki and he starts to take notice of this but doesn't do anything. Skip to ten years later, they've all graduated, Kirishima and Bakugo stopped talking after they graduated, Kirishima gets an invitation to Bakugo's wedding and he starts to feel his old feelings flood back to the surface. He doesn't know what to do other than think, 'He's my friend...I should go.' and so he does. He starts to realize how much he regrets not telling him he liked him. So now he's stuck pining after a person who hasn't even known for the past ten years that Kirishima likes him. He sits there hoping and praying that the ash-blonde doesn't say 'I do' but he knows that he will despite how much he doesn't want it to happen. Mina's sitting next to him, her hand squeezing his in comfort. She knows he's hurting. He's been hurting for the past thirteen years. When he hears the words 'I do' come out of Bakugo's mouth his breath hitches and he bites his lip, trying to stop the quivering. His hand squeezes Mina's tightly and she looks at him once more before looking at the happy couple at the altar. When Kirishima releases her hand he stands up and claps with the rest of the crowd, but soon leaves right after. Bakugo doesn't take notice until he starts to see no familiar head of red hair and he can't help but feel a subtle ache in his chest. Kirishima gets back to the hotel, wallows in heartbreak, then goes down to the hotel's bar, get's buzzed, heads back to his hotel room, then cries himself to sleep while on facetime with Mina. She just so happens to be in the next room hearing her best friend's stifled sobs. So she walks in through the connecting door and snuggles up beside him. She's had to watch him go through this for so long. But in the time that the two were asleep Bakugo was staring at his phone and his new lover beside him as they (whoever you ship Bakugo with) slept. He couldn't help but bite the nail of his thumb while he thought of what to text Eijiro. 'I've missed you.' he texted. And with that he let out a sigh, walked to the balcony of their suite, and stares up at the moon, just now realizing how much he missed his 'best friend'. Even if the person he married knew deep down that Bakugo loved Kirishima since high school.
LYRICS: Hello, it's me I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet To go over everything They say that time's supposed to heal ya But I ain't done much healing Hello, can you hear me? I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be When we were younger and free I've forgotten how it felt before the world fell at our feet There's such a difference between us And a million miles Hello from the other side I must've called a thousand times To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done But when I call, you never seem to be home Hello from the outside At least I can say that I've tried To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore Hello, how are you? It's so typical of me to talk about myself, I'm sorry I hope that you're well Did you ever make it out of that town where nothing ever happened? It's no secret that the both of us are running out of time So hello from the other side (Other side) I must've called a thousand times (Thousand times) To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done But when I call, you never seem to be home Hello from the outside (Outside) At least I can say that I've tried (I've tried) To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore Ooh-ooh, anymore Ooh-ooh-ooh, anymore Ooh-ooh, anymore Anymore Hello from the other side (Other side) I must've called a thousand times (Thousand times) To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done But when I call, you never seem to be home Hello from the outside (Outside) At least I can say that I've tried (I've tried) To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore
