I know, right? I mean, people make fun of other people who are "affected"; or take up the accent while they are living in the UK, but speaking as a Latino from Central America, to me, actual Spanish from Spain also has a more cultured sound than that we use abroad. UK English and Spain's dialects are languages that have been refined FAR longer than those here on the Western Hemisphere, to the point where almost anything they say sounds more like prose than speech. Bill Maher did a funny skit on that subject on his show. The segment is entitled "Brit for Brains", where he pokes fun at the American habit of conveying serious or historical dialogue in a British accent. You can find it here on RU-vid.
@@KarunyaSabapathy Adele is mediocre 🤣😂🤣 people are so used to hearing shit singers she seems dazzling in comparison. Truth is she's mediocre marketed with depressing songs of woe.
I actually find it the other way around. To me actors are actually more down to earth, simple, and rather more intellectual people than singers nowadays.
I really feel Adele doesn't get enough credit for practically reviving the Best Original Song category for popular artists. Especially in regards to Bond Songs. James Bond is one of the longest-running and most legendary franchises of all time, and it had numerous iconic songs come out of it. Many of the songs were even nominated for Best Original Song, but Adele was the first ever artist to actually win the Oscar (as well as sweep all the other major award shows - Golden Globes, Critics Choice, Grammys, BRITs). Skyfall also became immensely popular as a standalone song and was a huge commercial success. Since then, doing a Bond Song has pretty much become a golden ticket for any artist wanting to win an Oscar. Adele set that precedent, and the following two winners seem to have just benefitted off of her success/impact, because in my opinion neither of them actually matched the quality of Skyfall. It remains one of the most universally acclaimed Bond Songs of all time for its lyrics, production and Adele's vocal performance. Not to mention it is THE most critically acclaimed of this century.
+Hector Solis-Ortiz The TV special she did for "25" could be up for an Emmy in the coming months. Girl just needs to write some songs for a musical then she could grab that EGOT.
Led million years ago from 25, was nominated for daytime emmy but she lost. and adele live at RMH lost as well. she’s rumored to star in the live musical Oliver but she’s a realizing a new album this year so i doubt the musical will happen
Skyfall was brilliant. Her voice is easily one of the best of our times..She is such a vision...She will forever be one of the most beautiful women ever..Her hair..the red lips...the black dress...Simon Konnecki is so unlucky to have messed up with her
I will always give Adele the credit for helping Sam Smith and Billie Ellish win an Oscar. She made making a song for a bond film Oscar worthy and the other two benefitted off of it. Thank you Adele.
bitch adele came over here and slayyyyeeed she not only said ima take all the grammys ima take a golden globe and oscar too bitch something most of my musical peers can never say they got yassss lol
Adele was an obvious winner that year. She deserved that Oscar but I still think Jennifer Lopez should have been nominated for "Goin' In" from Step Up: Revolution. I know, they don't nominate songs like that but I still like it
She is the greatest singer of this generation. Nobody (Rihanna, Gaga, Bieber, Swift, Lorde, Jessie, Ariana) comes close to her talents and abilities. She deserves everyting a singer&performer can get in this world. A true musician.
Shane tori Honestly, she doesn't have the range Mariah has or something. However, one of Adeles very strong suits is songwriting. Take that into account puts her far before any of the wannabes.
Good for her. All us losers... that criticize ....... We just crawl back to our pits and wait for someone that has done better then we........... and hope whatever we say brings them down............
i freaking miss her and miss her music seriously she need to do a comeback in 2015 to teach those singers who only sing about booty a lesson about good music
Adele is a sweetheart but more than that, she is a fabulous singer. SKYFALL is a great song for her, and is a deserving winner. It's a treat to watch Adele sing it, as well as Dame Shirley Bassey sing GOLDFINGER on the same show. The two of them made these Oscars so memorable.
to count it right. She won 9 Grammy Awards. She won for best new artist and best pop vocal perfomance for Chasing Pavements, Someone Like You And Set Fire To The Rain. song and record of the year both for Rolling in The Deep, best pop vocal album 21, and Best video for Rolling in the deep.
She's so talented and she totally deserved it, I'm glad to see one true artist nowadays that she put all she have to make excellent music, not like other artists, I'm really happy for her.
Look how calm yet Happy Adele is and yes she almost cried at the end. Gaga however went total crazy like she had been told she had won all the oscars that evening.
THAT WAS NOT SURPRISE, SHE IS THE BEST SINGER! OR AT LEAST THE BEST JAMES BOND´S THEME OF THE TIME, WITH "THE WORLD IS NOT ENOGHT" BUT "SKYFALL" SONG CAN MAKE THAN A LOT OF PEOPLE ONLY WAIT THE FILME FOR HEAR THE ADELE´S SONG. EVERYBODY LOVE THEM! MAYBE IS NOT THE BEST SONG OF ADELE BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT POR A JAMES BOND FILM! CONGRATULATIONS BEUTTY LOVE YOU! COME TO MEXICO ONE TIME HEHE
AWESOME.... Just awesome.. come to think about it James Bond songs have always been popular havent they? Adele, Duran Duran, Sheena Easton, The white stripes... etc
I just realized the people who gave her the award were the cast of Chicago the movie, anyone knows if they actually mentioned that when they were presenting the award? I would be thrilled if I was Adele, I fucking love that musical movie
Look I've got infinite love for Denzel but that unimpressed face pissed me off, I get it you're undeniably good but just cut the girl some slack and pretend like you're happy hhahah.
