They have a guest singer from Germany named Johannes Strate. He’s great! But the acoustical and orchestral arrangements are nothing short of brilliant!!! "Did her voice get better?" Maybe this is one of the few bright spots, because of the pandemic. Singers had to take, at least, a year off from doing back to back concerts. The truly talented vocalists may have benefited from giving their voices a break. What can I say? I'm a glass half full kinda guy!

In a interview she said this whole collection is about the pain of her divorce and about her son. The emotion she belts out is amazing. She's right up there with Karen Carpenter and Whitney Houston.

I love the fact she's a British Blue eyed soul singer. Something that didn't really exist till Adele and Amy and a few others. But she's transcended most soul singers full stop. @@DaisyMae1975LOVE don't get me wrong. I've loved watching Angelinas musical journey. And especially like her versions of yellow brick Road, and her Billy holiday debut audition. I've been there for the start and have watched most of her performances, Angelina does not have the Body of written work like Adele has. Its a ridiculous comparison. Almost everything Angelina has sang has been a classic song, and she's sang them almost in the style of the original singer. Like billie holiday and although angelinas version of I've put a spell on you was clearly her voice, her version was a pastiche of nina simones version. Where as Adele's songs are about her....when someone else sings those songs, it doesn't matter that they sing them in tune, they're just not authentic. Only Adele sings her songs like they should be sang. Adele is a powerhouse a tour de force, a writer musician and an extraordinary vocal perfomer, Angelina unfortunately is yet to prove herself. I actually prefer yebbas voice to both Adele and Angelina. But Yebba hasn't stepped up to the mark yet. Angelina might do it, but right now she's a cover singer and an extraordinary impersonator. Just finding her feet.

That first verse and then chorus had me cryin like a baby. I know exactly what she is talking about. I lived it and I regret it. I wish I would have taken time to feel the world around and took my time with the choices I made. Got married 2 mths after turning 18, immediately started having kids, and moved to different states supporting ex husbands dream of playing professional sports. Now we are divorced and I still haven't found my footing or figured out what I want. My life was dedicated to being a wife and a Mom. Some days I think that's all I know how to do but I'm so afraid to try love again because of what happened with my marriage.

There are two modern artists that make me hang on every new song or album: Adele and Halsey. They couldn't have more different styles, but they have one thing in common: they write lyrics and sing in such a way that you feel every syllable.
Great reaction! You may be interested in watching Rick Beato's response to this song, he breaks things down musically and explains why this song is a real beauty. Basically, real piano, real singing ie. no auto-tune anywhere and he says she is a little sharp here and there but it makes it better, what you hear is real singing with real inflections and nuance that our ears and brains process as enjoyment rather than manufactured perfection which we can appreciate technically, but always sounds somehow a little cold. The bass, even though it's extremely tight, is also played by a real player. The kick drum sound is a programmed drum sound but very tastefully done.

I've listened to this song several times since it was released and it gives me chills every time. I've been a fan since her first album and she just gets better with age. The vocals in this song are simply stunning. Yes she does runs, but they are always tasteful, never overdone. Cannot wait for the whole album to drop!
My favorite Adele song is Remedy. It has a similar sound to this song but is more upbeat. The song was co-written with Ryan Tedder (of One Republic) who also plays the stunningly gorgeous piano in the song. Love it!
What… a… voice! I am sure her voice has got better. It’s matured with age. Plus… there’s NO auto tuning. Purely natural singing. After her throat surgery after her 2nd album??, I have no doubt she's taking way better care of her voice than she did before. But you're probably right. She's not made music in so long, we've missed her. That's what I like about her. She takes her time with her music. She keeps it real and doesn't cater to what's "popular".
