She has written about a time in my life.. at a wedding i saw the guy that still holds my heart to this day..we had obviously broken up..he had moved on..i never have..no point..he was the one for me.. i break a little bit more every time I hear her sing it but listening to it brings me closer to those memories of our wonderful 10 yrs together.. 💔🇬🇧🙏😪 just edited as a ps.. I'm now 61 yrs old..and it was indeed the last time I saw him..i just couldn't take that chance again so got a transfer at work and moved to Birmingham where I had family members..and still live ..

It is rumored that most of Adele's past songs was about her first love who was an African American guy who she adored and he was a bit of a bad boy. He ended up breaking her heart and did her major dirty. She won't speak about him anymore but in one interview she did admit she was bitter about how he did her and that is how she poured out her heart was into her songs. They asked her how she was about it now.. Her response was.. I am staying in a 5 star hotel traveling the world and he is fighting to pay his bills.. So yeah I think I am doing okay. :)

I don't know. I've been slow on this Adele thing, but the more I listen to her, the more she sounds like Madonna in the sense that she's got an exceptional voice quality that other people find hard to replicate. The difficulty I have with Adele is that I cannot really distinguish her songs.

Many of her songs are written about a bad break up in her teens, just before fame hit. In fact her former boyfriend was said to have tried to sue her for profits from that album. He said that since he was the inspiration that led to her fame, he should profit from it as well. I don’t know what happened but hopefully the courts laughed at him.
