Two exceptional individuals in the Adelphi community were honored with honorary doctoral degrees at Commencement 2024. Eduardo Vilaro ’85, artistic director and chief executive officer of Ballet Hispánico, delivered the address at our undergraduate student ceremony, and Patrick O’Shaughnessy, DO, MBA ’13, FACEP, president and chief executive officer of Catholic Health, spoke at the graduate ceremony. Both are quoted in this video.
“Continue to work hard, reach whatever goals you set for yourself,” Marc S. Strachan ’81, chair of the Adelphi University Board of Trustees, summarized for the Class of 2024. “But also know that you can achieve far more than you can imagine today.”
