Hi Dr. My son is 5 years old he is having (mild mod autism) Autistic ADHD..he is always having cold n fevers and always keeps his mouth open recently ENT Dr.suggested surgery to remove adenoids as his adenoids are totally blocking his breathing pipe .he only breathes his mouth which is why his lips became very big.My question to u is some people are saying if we remove adenoids then he will be directly more prone to infections,dust allergies and viruses is this true or a myth?he is having speech delay problems n if he talks words sound like they r coming from his nose ...pls answer my question n clear my doubt sir..cause i need to know..

Hello Sir, my 5yr old son has Adenoids, he has noisy breathing in the night, rarely snores. His mouth is always closed while sleeping. He is on montelikust 4mg since 1.5yrs. doctor started Montair 4mg after recurring cold and cough and when once he got ear infection, there was discharged from his ear. Recently since a month i am giving him metaspray as he had noisy breathing (i mentioned to the doctor) and he doesn't have cold or cough. How long can we give him metaspray and Montair. Everytime I see doctor he says no need of stopping Montair 4mg. It's going to be almost 2yrs i have been giving him medicine. Now metaspray it's been a month.. i worriy for side effects of these medicines. Please reply sir.

The ENT doc also suggested to opt for surgery as the nasal passage is almost 65-70% blocked.
