Wow i was waiting for someone to mix those rainbow shades and what a disappointment! The rest look pretty tho but definitely not for me..your eye look was super cute!
This palette is so pretty and I want it. Unfortunately I will be in the hospital getting two MRIs Friday morning when it releases. Hopefully I can get my husband to snatch one up for me while in the waiting room. 😊
I love Adept, but the last two palettes they released are just not it for me. Samarian Sunset is beautiful, but creases on me horribly and this palettes has those rainbow shades that are just disappointing. Especially with 2 in the same palette that are lackluster when mixed.
Do you use any primers to prevent creasing? I had this problem with some earlier palettes, especially devoted to Superman, and some shades from Heather Austin. And then I found out that I can wear them all day on the "bond"-type base.
@appel_sin I used pretty much everything I can think of. I tried primers from Nars, Natasha Denona, Smashbox and glitter glues from BH Cosmetics, Nyx, Bella Beaute Bar. The only thing I have not tried is Pixie Epoxy but I just received that in the mail today so I'll be trying that out tomorrow. This is the only palette I've had creasing issues with by Adept and I own them all since they released Kodanne 😭
@@rowenamckinley1079 yes, this is sad(( I love Adept too and try to buy almost every palette. But I'm also upset that sometimes I have to experiment with bases to keep them on my eyes 🙄 I saw a thread on Reddit about it. I think the combination of primer potion and nars helped but I'm not sure. I put satin eyeshadow in matching colour, then I put bond (it's a gel-like base from a local market), and then I put Adept. But sometimes I need to experiment because with some formulas it was better not to use bond or anything 🤷🏻♀️😐
I love samarian sunset . It's a go to but I understand the creasing . When glitter glues don't work ,I use lash glue , very light lol . Also, I do use mehron mixing medium and they usually stay on the eyes all day without a problem. But those two are my last resort if my other primers don't work.
Sorry for the cut and paste: I got a dud eyeshadow in my Element 115. I have purchased most of Adept's makeup, including four rainbow highlighter palettes and this palette. That makes 17 rainbow eye shades that have worked, and one that hasn't. I asked if I could be sent out a replacement Tick/Tack because the eyeshadows are magnetic and easily replaceable. I was told that they couldn't. They told me I could send back the palette and they would refund me. I asked if I could get a replacement pallette sent to me, if I sent the pallette back, because I bought it on a discount and didn't want to have to pay full price plus shipping and insurance to get a replacement palette. Their response: "We probably won't do that. The replacement palette will likely have the same issue for you. The rainbow shades will also look different. This just may not be the right palette for you." My interpretation is because one color is a dud, I don't get to have this palette at all. I have purchased nearly everything Adept has made, several pallettes twice as backups, and have some as gifts. For reference, the reason Tick/Tack is a dud is because it completely comes out of the pan in one dry piece, and when you swatch it, it is very dry and doesn't stick. I have never had any shadow or any makeup item from Adept or anyone else behave this way. I don't understand why Adept won't send out a replacement palette if I mail back my pallete. Instead, it seems they've taken the stance that I will always get a dud and I will always be unhappy. They said: "They are made by 7 different women (not in bulk via a machine) and therefore all shades may not be the same." This means there is a high probability of variability, which means there is a chance I might not get a dud in the next palette. They also said: "I would also like to add that the rainbow shades are almost identical in formula as Warren Patel in the Inspired Palette . Please let me know if you would like to add that item to your return." I like the Inspired palette so much that I bought a second one when it restocked, so I don't want to return it.
I swear I’ve seen 2 ufos. The one could’ve possibly been a drone, but the other one was way too huge. It was the size of my neighbors backyard. Triangular shaped with 3 lights underneath. And completely silent as it passed by. And of course my phone was dead when it happened and my husband was taking a poop so he couldn’t even come and look when I yelled for him 😂😂😂
I like it except for two things.... one it's a lot of blue, which I haven't figured out how to pull off, and those rainbow shades seem a waste. But it is pretty swatched.
I ordered this one ! And the 3 others I wanted 😂. Cosmic brushes , ensleyreign, adept and yes the big plouis pallet everyone hates 😂 I can’t wait to start getting my goodies!
If I hadn’t bought enough indie eyeshadows to last a lifetime during the pandemic I might be interested in adept… if they still sold singles. (The color stories aren’t appealing to me that much). As for aliens, I haven’t read about any true scientific evidence of aliens (UFOs ate just what the name implies- objects that are unidentified). However, the universe is billions of years old and larger than we can even see with the strongest telescopes so I would be shocked if there isn’t intelligent life out there somewhere. I don’t know if there’s anything after death (though I hope), but I’m 99.99999% positive aliens exist.
i saw the swatches of this one before i saw the striped pans so i was already sold, but i already know ill have to swatch them constantly in order to match it to my look lol
From what I’ve seen Karen Harris do, you swipe your finger across the rainbow shade then swipe onto the eye to maintain the rainbow. Very tricky looking but I’ll certainly try when I get my palette! Ordered today with Black Friday discount.
I have a lot of rainbow shades and they are actually super easy to apply and keep the colours intact. You can go over it more than once too if you want to build it up, just always swipe in the same direction from pan to application. I have no idea the point of mixing them to swatch, since they are going to muddy together as hers did and look the same. Rainbow shades are not made to mix. I also like them because i can use the colours one at a time and get extra looks from one pan. Hope you like the rainbow shades, they are a lot of fun!

@TheFelinescience thank you SO MUCH for sharing your experience, not just with this palette, but also with the customer service side of your order with Adept. Honestly, the way you were treated was completely unacceptable, especially seeing as how you’ve been supporting their brand with multiple purchases. It doesn’t matter whether it’s someone’s first purchase or their 20th; the client’s concerns should be heard thoughtfully. But for you to have shown kindness and reached out with your detailed feedback, only to be shut down and your sincerity not be reciprocated, is a major red flag. It wasn’t like you were trying to get free product,.. you had a genuine concern and offered actionable ways to resolve it in a mutually beneficial manner. If it were my company, I would be thrilled that a repeat customer reached out with feedback that I could utilize to improve and enhance my products. And this feedback you offered can help to identify an issue in production that would allow them to address it before more are made, and subsequently maintain their clientele by ensuring consistency across all their palettes. There are just SO many established and emerging indie brands out there that would be delighted to have someone as kind and dedicated as you have been to Adept. Sorry for the novel, but I was interested in purchasing this palette and I’m not purchasing anything there now. You did not deserve that at all. Thank you so much for sharing your experience for others ❤
Wow that's insane you got blocked from a platform for a negative review. That's how much power brands have there. luckily I don't have an account on Instagram. I wonder if Heather blocked you? That's odd and pretty sketchy. My inspired palette had a dud, the yellow one. It takes tons of building to show. I expected perfection for such an expensive palette but still love it overall.
I bought both. I like this one better than the Seahorse Palette only because I can get more looks with it. I have bought most of their palettes with no duds, including the Seahorse Palette, but I had a dud in this palette. I'll cut and paste a bit about that.

You dodged a bullet. I got a dead shade and adept customer service was pretty snarky. Wish I could post screenshots. There's no way they're going to stay in business for much longer if the word gets around and how badly they treat their customers. I actually, already knew how badly they treated their customers, so I didn't buy from them for a bit until I thought they had improved customer service. Boy was I wrong.
