Thank you so much for this podcast and the understood link. There is so much more I would like to say here but my ADHD brain, trauma, and now, isolation will not let me keep it short and sweet. Looking forward to finding my neurodivergent communities and families where myself and my family can communicate, be heard, be understood, not be talked down to, not be talked over, and not feel like such a damn alien! 👽😅😎
Not Mormon but Evangelical. Literally same story. My husband was told to “Grow up” constantly. But would work us to the bone in children’s ministry. When my husband hurt his back, we were encouraged to “get more into the word” instead of surgery. After months of agony…he had surgery. We were treated like we didn’t “trust God”……I’m crying typing this. It brings up so much. Ahhh!!!
