Very cool! Had a lot of fun with my world's calendar too and associating each months to different events in the world's hostory or to gods, or current festivals, celebrating certain events and happenings

I’ve never DM’d let alone written my own campaign, but my 14 year old daughter got so excited by Taylor Swift fan artwork by Alef Vernon that I’m now officially writing a campaign for her AND IM SO EXCITED! Overwhelmed, but excited! I’m also an avid bullet journaler so this is exactly the kind of content I’ve been looking for! Thank you!

this was so satisfactory to watch ✨ sometimes people underestimate how much actual *building* of the world goes into D&D. I know my own players think I'm always improvising info even though everything is written in the pre-game sheet I gave them xD

I’m starting to home-brew my own D&D world, so when I found this I was so excited! So I took the opportunity to use my new Christmas present notebook paper age, I have the dotted notebook instead of the lined, I feel more free to do as I please with the space I have on the paper. And the first thing I did before even writing my name was literally stamping numbers onto each page and so far I’m on page 95!

When all of this looks really cool but you know you'll never have the executive function to commit to doing it, so instead you're just going to wake up on game day and daydream all of the cool moments that might happen and the fantastical history of the world and fire the entire session from the hip.

I got very excited at seeing this video!! And like another DM and player with adhd I immediately got derailed when I thought 'hey do I have any empty journals', and I did not have any, so I therefore spent the next hour looking at stationery online :J I did finish watching though!! And your way of worldbuilding makes it looks so streamlined and easier! Loved it a lot

It's awesome to know that there's more people using some form of D&D journal, whether it's for world building or characters. 😊 I play solo, being both the DM and PCs (I have six characters 😅), so I write everything down and use my imagination. I'm like a Writing (dungeon) Master. 🙂

I just recently found you and I am a brand new DM. I also have AdHD these videos have been extremely helpful. I was wondering about what kind of information or if you have a spread that you use for just one session I don’t think I found it in your videos, but I’d be really interested to see that as a new DM I’m really struggling to take the information that I have from a book and condense it to something that I can actually use when I’m running the session

I know it's been a year since this video came out, but I have a question: what does the 6 magic points represent? More accurately, what do they signify when it comes to nation building, and how do you use them?

Just how developed that nation's magic is in each respect, in an abstract sense. Maybe you could use it to literally mean spell level cap.

That's a homebrew rule, but is definitely influenced by wargaming and building armies.

When you talk about the four kingdoms of your world, do you mean your entire world has four kingdoms? Or is "world" a generic term you're using for the area that your campaign focuses on?

In this case, I am referring to the four most powerful civilizations in the world. Kingdoms is a convenient term.
