In this video we conduct a prompted ADI Part 2 mock driving assessment.
Here, you will see that even a very experienced driver, who has had many years of accident-free driving, can still develop a few habits that detract from the overall efficiency of his performance.
Our client, David, incorporates some elements of advanced driving which we must highlight.
The ADI part 2 test is similar in format to the original practical driving test, but the standard expected is much higher. You need to show expert-level driving skills in different road and traffic conditions, and excellent Highway Code knowledge.
The goal of this exercise is to re-sharpen David's driving and bring in to focus every little decision and detail, so that eventually he can critically analyse another driver (part 3 training).
Driving Instructor Training:
This driving tutorial is an assessment and remedial driving lesson. We use Client-Centred Coaching (CCL), to help a pupil with many years of driving experience. Therefore, this video may also be useful for other driving instructors looking to improve their teaching methods.
