The foam runners are more of a sandal and the q is a customizable sneaker. If you say the q is a ripoff of the runners then you could say the runners are a ripoff of crocs and the yeezy slides are a ripoff of all other slides. Like i seriously dont get it. Tried on in FL TTS but thought they were a bit too snug for me, tried 1/2 size up and were much more comfortable. adidas Canada just dropped then Nov 13 in 6 colours, just trying to decide on the black/orange, all black, or all grey. Have foam runners but like the look of these more personally, also way easier to put on.

Had the the chance to try in store a half size down and tts on the adifomq and it was still crushing ny big toe, need a .5 up on those but sold out! Mind you i got wide feet

Unfortunately I agree with everything you say at the end but if you really stop and look at what he did for the company only for them to boot him knowing what kind of person he is is weird and he really does make the money for them if you look at their stuff recently you can see the inspiration they got from him all of the shoes do take inspiration from his designs and same with gap clothes do take the same inspiration too. Hard to knock him when he really does know what he is talking about

i understand both sides of the debate, a humbler Ye would maybe be a lil gracious that his design language resonates throughout the brand? that said, they could break him off a number that shows respect to his IP. adidas cant afford to lose him right now, yet they cant give him too much equity and control... conundrum.

These are way better than the foam runners. They are both Ugly shoes, but the AdiFoams looked Ugly and Nice at the same time. If it was made to compete with the foam runners or was inspired by, it makes alot of sense from Adidas marketing wise, FoamRunners are for certain demographics, i can see Adifoams for everyone.

ehhh i dont think its fair to say that kanye doesn't know how to run his businesses when the way he has run his businesses has lead to him being worth billions. i think what he may not be able to manage well is his relationships with the individuals in the companies, but since it is his IP that is working in these companies, he does not have to. he can easily do this himself now, or just go somewhere else. i whole heartedly believe that if he went to k-swiss, they would start to sell out.

All of his shoes except his sildes are owned by adidas, the price points are set by adidas, the design team is adidas. sure he's the creative director but still they got there hands on everything. Plus they have the ability to mass produce at cost, he can't. So his dream of making cost affordable he couldn't even if he wanted on his own. He needs them more than they need him. Adidas is going to be fine with or without. They will lose money up front then make it back later its adidas ffs.

The outer shell of the AdiFom Q bears resemblance to the YFR. The YFR bears resemblance to Crocs and other clogs. Kanye leant his valuable name to a clog that looks like it was designed by HR Geiger. In my opinion, the Adifom Q’s swappable shells set them apart as an original take on casual footwear. I’d feel silly wearing or paying for YFRs. I’ve never seen AFQs in person, might also feel silly with them on my feet. But after watching your video I made a bid for them in my size/color. Just discovered your channel today, thanks for the hard work and insight.

I published two stories on the subject at my blog. Every YZY shoe gravitates to the more obscure adi-archive products that didn’t hit the first time. There is good reason Kobe comes up a lot when KW talks about his shoes. YZY borrows from the adidas archives and adidas gets the pulse of what’s going on via athletic influence or the cult of personality. This has been their MO for decades… It’s smart business. YZY spin-off needs the drama and false claims in order to have heat. The Q proves adidas was 100% correct about the laces. The shoe looks better than the YZY. ✌🏽💙👟

And let's not forget that most and probably all of the technology is adidas. And the shoes most times are significant because of that. The foam runner is only good, because of it's technology, the yeezy v1 and v2 only because of the whole encaged boost, knit-sock thing, which already existed before kanye started his brand. Also the ribs on the midsole came from adidas. It did that on the tubular models. The yeezy 400 with adiprene, is a sort of mix up between different older adidas models. The yeezy 700 you could argue is just a development of the Adidas x Raf Simons Ozweego which in fact started the whole chunky shoe vibe. To me it's most of all a pity that Kanye is mad all the time. It's just such a perfect combo, adidas and Kanye. Together they make great shoes and bring life in the sneaker industry. Without him, Nike and Jordan would have never felt the urge to come with there own more exciting lines like the whole Off-White collab or Travis Scott.

I feel like this is a different shoe. Also I generally wear size 12 shoes and will sometimes get the wide version if available. I tried the size 13 on and thought it was massive. I didn't get to try out a 12 on at the mall as there wasn't one of those in stock or an 11 (or 11.5 if that's available) to try. Besides the 13 being very roomy, I thought it was a pretty big shoe all around on the foot.

I normally wear 12 sometimes 11.5 mainly Jordan's and got the adifom in 11.5...snug but comfortable and the heel does kinda slip out but is less of a problem at 11.5 compared to 12 I imagine but I do have wide feet and 12 could work I bet

I'd try the 12...I wear 11.5 in Jordan 1s and 13s. In the 11.5 adifom I cant move my toes much as I have wide feet...especially my right foot but hopefully they'll break in

Appreciate your opinions but disagree with everything you say . With the recently reports of gap and adidas putting restrictions on Yeezy ( including his likeness ) Shows it wasn’t a real partnership , and not holding per agreement per Ye ‘s legal documents. You mention of ye should allow them copy and be a team player , if I recall Ye wanted his shoes at a lower price point , adidas could of use that model brand Yeezy and sell it cheaper then the runners or put high spec to meet his standard. Whatever the case , he has demand to make his brand more accessible . But right now he want ownership he don’t with partnerships ( playing nice in his words) and I’m rooting for him

I’d agree with strengthening the brand IF Adidas viewed him as an actual partner. It’s crazy to think Ye being a partner with this massive shoe company that Adidas brand is but if you look at what he brought to the brand, it makes sense. To be honest I honestly think Adidas would of plateaued after the boost hyped died. The Yeezys put Adidas in the same spot as Jordan retros did for Nike. At this point they should go there separate ways. I’m sure he’ll be able to find another cushioning technology. Lol

For anyone wondering, they are a BIT more firm, but VERY comfortable, you sorta have 2 levels of cushion, the inner midsole is a bit softer and then you get to the outsole which is still soft but noticeably more firm in a good way. These are definitely a unique pair but I will say, try to get true to size. Im normally a 11.5 or 12 in adidas and yeezy’s, a 12 in my foam runners, these definitely feel a bit loose at a 12 but nothing tying them a bit tighter cant fix and isnt really a problem for casual wear
