As an older runner, I like Pro 3 because it’s stable and have a firm but responsive foam that makes running enjoyable. Looking at the videos I’ve seen, Pro 4 is quite a bit softer, which means it’s not for me. Pity because I want a better upper.
The BITR video was the first I watched this morning, and as soon as Megan mentioned the softer midsole, I was bummed. The best thing about the AP3 is how dense and bouncy it is. I'm more interested in the evo sl.
This review makes me want the Adios. Not the 4 pro, but the 9! Funny comparison. My last pair of Adios is actually no. 4 😉 I like to stay close to the ground Sorry Pro 🤷♂️
I’m not sure the softer foam is a good thing (at least for me). As a heavier runner I love the pro 3s denser and firmer midsole. This sounds like it’s gone the same way as all the other very compliant race shoes.
Ha! I love that you are wearing two versions as you are filming. That's my favourite way to be on a zoom call - with running shoes under the table (occasionally looking down, analysing lugs - haha)! Cool shoe to race in, wishing you and the team and awesome marathon!
So the inner heel collar is basically the same as the AP V3? With a significant about of space between the heel collar bumpers which can promote heel lift for a subset of runners? And what are the LSS numbers for you compared to the Alphafly 3? I find I like the feel of LS Pro foam, but the LSS values are TERRIBLE compared to the combination of ZoomX and Airpods.
I was really excited to hear more about this model, since the Adidas Pro3 is, for me, the best shoe for running a marathon (for half marathons I prefer the Takumi Sen). A lot of the information is positive, but unfortunately it seems like they made the midsole softer. The firmness of the midsole of the current Adidas models is, in my opinion, just right and it is exactly this firmness that makes the brand's shoes superior to the others, especially the huge variety of soft midsoles that have taken over the market. It is a real shame if Adidas gave in to the enormous need for comfort for the extremely sensitive legs of these new generations.
@@AlexFilittimuch appreciated! I guess the rest were just in a rush to make a video. They had the shoe and all and still said they knew nothing about price. Thank you again, quality video!
