I just got my pair. Besides the fact it has the "98" instead of the "8" on the front, I think these are one of the sneakers of the year. Just my opinion. My box came destroyed too.

I still have the ones, that got re-retro'd a few yrs. back, with the #8 on the front. There still in really great condition...I also have the Crazy 8 'Serge Ibaka' Player Edition...I might cop those if they go on sale

I had the OG from 98. My only complaint was the outsoles weren't the transparent purple like the OGs and no gold tipped laces.
