I've had my Kaiser 5 for 6 years now. Of course it's not used as often but I can safely say that it's one of the most reliable boots out there and it is very comfy.

I find short passing, tacking and comfort are great with these kaizers. But shooting - especially from long range takes a massive hit with these . I’m personally a fan of the knuckleball technique and so with the chunky design of these boots, it’s really hard to consistently strike the ball with laces, but that’s just my opinion and experience. They can be quite reliable if you prefer to place or curl your shots far post. I had a similar experiencing with long passing and dribbling. It can be hit and miss as best. Overall , I’d give these kaizers a 9.5/10 for appearance as I’m a sucker for the retro boots. 6/10 for performance in game . I would have these as a second or third option to wear occasionally for casual non competitive games ;they definitely would not be my preferred or regular go-to option.

These appeal to most people above the age of 14. Most 16-18 year olds have these or Copa's and are seen as 'cooler' than Vapors etc.

Kaiser 5 is slightly wider than mundial so that was why i picked them, the mundial are tight in the middle of the sole

I bought some recently and i like my kaiser fives for the way the forefoot fits my feet and the leather touch which will always be better than synthetics for me. but i found the heel was starting to give me blisters. I think maybe a softer more padded heel liner would be good and my feet were sore under foot. Maybe because they are heavy and the insole could be better.

Easy: Premiers are MUCH lighter and more ideal for me and other players who prefer that, while this is about the same as the Copas and probably more ideal for lower leagues.

My daughter loves these! They are the only cleats she will wear. I need to order her another pair, but I am not sure what size. Hers are so worn that I can't read what it says on the inside. It does say 6 1/2 on the bottom of the heel area. Can you tell me if that is a USA or UK size? Thank you! Great review by the way!!!

Josh you should make a leather cleat tournament (several videos) first it would be the copas vs kaisers then tiempo vs 11pro then Nike premier vs gloro and then make it like a bracket like that :3 (all in your opinion what you like)

In comparison to pretty much any modern boots, these will be thicker. That's not necessarily a bad thing though.

You said these are Calf Skin. Every website, including Adidas's, says it is 'full grain leather'. My understanding is that these two are different. Which one is this shoe made of? Or are they both considered to be the same?

shtembeef There's only to main types of leather that you'll find on soccer cleats, kangaroo leather and cow/calfskin leather. When something is listed as full grain leather, that let's you know that it is cheaper leather, which is leather from a cow/calf.

To some people it is, and to others, it isn't. The Copa is made from softer leather, but the difference is not night and day. They're similar shoes, it just depends on what you want.

+Joshua Vance The Gloro has nice leather at the toe, but the rest of the boot is a fairly cheap synthetic. These are leather all the way through.

Kamil Fenner They will stretch if they haven't already. You shouldn't be getting blisters though. With that said, if you wear them straight into a game, you'll have a much higher chance of having issues with discomfort/blistering.

Marc Browning I would personally pick the Kaiser. The Nike Premier is worth a look as well.

Yeah I have the Premier and its a great shoe. I actually prefer them over the Tiempo V's. Just wanted to way my options with other leather cleats. Just wish Nike would add a little color to the Premier. Thanks for responding and keep up the good work!

***** Josh, I have to disagree with you on this, I've been playing with my Kaiser 5 on AG for about 3 years and in can say is that the low profile of the conical studs ensures less drag and surface penetration, meaning you won’t get stuck in the dense turf. Anyhow theses boots are great!!!, great review BTW!, cheers from Spain!
