I prefer Yeezy slides, but Ye's tripping (again). The adilette 22 have the same silhouette as the adilette always have. They're just keeping up with the times. I'll be picking some up cos I've trashed the only Yeezy slides I could get for retail and I'm not paying resale for foam anything
After being at the beach this weekend I will say the yeezy slide is the snow boot of sandal culture it was a tank . Super comfortable and they made it over the sand so easily .
The Yeezy slides are waaay more futuristic, but i love the new adilette for sure, kanye big trippin on this one, he just gotta acknowledge he CHANGED the industry and theres no goiong back, it makes me sad hes going after adidas like that, we wouldve never gotten these shoes without both parties and their vision

I wasnt a fan of Yeezys at first, but then I got a pair for retail and they are my favorite shows right now. So comfy and add like an inch and a half to height
If Kanye was to follow his same reasons for copying, then the Nike Yeezy 2s are a copy of the Nike Air Tech Challenges I don’t think these are copies, I prefer the Adilette slides because they look more futuristic and eye catching
I have a pair of Earth Brown Yzy slides and they are not so soft and comfy.Recently i copped Pure and Green Glows with the new texture and they feel great.
I've gone true to size for the Yeezy 350 v2 Bone. I've heard they stretch over time since the side material is super thin. Fingers crossed I haven't screwed myself.
I'm happy they made this slide inspired by Kanye because it allows everyone to have a chance at a slide given the rarity of coping the slides for retail so it's a.nice alternative.
Summary: Different looks (of cource) Personally, I like and would wear both. Yeezy Slides prices are around 150, Adilette is $45 at the most (after Adidas 30% membership - it's free) Yeezy Slide is softer, but wears down faster compared to the adilette which is still super nice underfoot, just a bit less squishy. Sizing.... we don't talk about that.
For long lasting and more adventurous use, the adilete is better because it's gonna look the same overtime because we don't need to be afraid of it to get scratched while yeezy is too sleek and easy to get scratched and will ugly faster.
My onyx Yeezys were $385. I'm ordering the Adilettes soon for $60. I want to see the real difference. I only purchased because of my pinched sciatic nerve pain that Crocs couldn't help, especially being a barber and being on my feet and for 10-12 hrs 6 days per week.
I went and bought my wife the Onyx slides and went with the YZY 350 sizing but oddly enough she would have preferred a size down and from a YZY standpoint I could have bet my car she would need to size up
It fits like a normal slide. Kanye has screwed up the sizing thinking you go tts with your slides. I’m a tts 14 in shoes and I’ve always worn a 13 in slides. They don’t have any padding or closure like a regular shoe
This is good step by adidas making more affordable for people like us. I have only one slide I got for retail. Resale price is ridiculous and I am not paying any extra.
watching this video a month later i own a pair of yeezy onyx's and they def one size up im a true size 9 and i went up to 10 and it fits around my foot perfect!
The sizing is so poor from adidas it’s so frustrating. I know you’ve mentioned a couple of times that the adilettes are same size in uk/us but that’s the same on the yeezy slides and the yeezy foams so that’s not new. However I’m a 12 in foams and yeezy slides, but I’m 11 in the adilettes 🤷♂️ doesn’t make any sense definitely something they need to fix!
I don’t see the similarities to be honest. All slides have the similar silhouette and adidas is the parent company. I think Yeezy is reaching and I’m a yeezy slide collector. Adilette 22 black marble is 🔥. With that being said I will try to purchase a pair even though I’m certain it won’t come with the same comfort of the yeezy slide.
But Adidas was doing mono material slides long before yeezy even considered to do it.. and the basic shape resembles the normal Adidas slide. Just compare the silhouettes, the only thing wich reminds on yeezy are the colours.. and these colours are just trending. So I think ye is overreacting.. and he pretends he is in a weak position, sry but yeezy is one of the most hyped brands ever.. and very powerful!!!
Can anyone help me with buing yeezy slides? Because i really wanted to have them for a while and i also want to see if they‘re as comfy as everybody says. I also don‘t want to spend insane prices like $150 or something like that. What I also need to know about the sizes with the different colors (like he said in his vid) (i am size 7). I am thinking that i am going to pick a light pair, a dark pair(like the onyx pair)or the azure colorway but I am not that sure If anybody knows something (or has connections to anyone) please tell me Thanks
Ngl. I have slides (onyx) but I like the addilletes (i have 2 , sand and the mixed sand and slime) even more. The sizing is really weird tho. In Jordans/Dunks my size is 10. Yeezy slides is 11 and addilettes is size 9.
Adilette 22 is interesting, i have to get that to make comparisons. Yzy slides are waaaay too overpriced with resells upto 100-160 dollars in my country
Sizing always seems to be affected by where they are manufactured I own hundreds of pairs of Adidas and you can kinda go if they're from this country tight fit, that country true, this other country over size etc. As for this vid Ye's beef is ridiculous his design borrows from the adilette and other designs and the 22 has it's own distinct styling. Re the foam, I actually find the Yeezy slides almost too soft so prefer the ever so slightly firmer feel of the 22's and they don't squeeze your foot so much
i have the adilette 22 just because i could get them for retail and i still like them more than any other basic slides, obviosly i'd rather have the yeezy slides but idc the adilletes are cool
The difference here that you're not really taking into account is that Ye owns the patent design for the slides, not Adidas. US Patent D889079. When speaking of Adidas, it's not "their shoe".
I dont get why Kanye's so mad. Theyre slides, theyve been making the adilette years before yeezys existed. The swirl CW's kinda give a Yeezy vibe, but the relief map texture is not something he's done before. Also, dont disrespect the a22 and call it "budget"... they retail for the same amount. Yeezys are only more expensive because hypebeasts screw up the market. If the only purchasers were those that wore them, yeezys would probably be on shelves like all other shoes. Great marketing, but its not the slide of all slides.
yo it looks like adidas took the yeezy slide and just carved topography into it re shaped it a little bit then made it their own. That's weak why would you wanna compete with your own product? with that being said, I got the green adilette 22's and I love em 😂
In Canada there is a 23 dollar difference between these slides. Kanye said every person would be able to own Yeezys, we all know that isn’t true, unless your lucky. These are not the same in look or feel on feet, Kanye needs to lighten up, he’s known for going off the handle.
i have the adilette 22 and love them! They fit perfectly! I tried so much yeezy slides, but no size fits me... its either to big or to snug... very weird sizing on the slides if u ask me
Yea I hate the sizing on the Yeezy Slides. I wear a Size 10.5 for 350s I knew the slides were tight, and my feet are pretty wide so I went with a Size 12 for the Onyx. And they still feel super tight and give me blisters
I've had both for months now. So far the Yeezys proved to be way to soft. Most young people don't think about arch support but if you weigh more that 150lbs you really should be looking for a firmer shoe if you're going to wear it all day.
Cool review I don't see the similarities between the two like Kanye does the 3d printed look of the Adilette is totally different from the smooth look of the Yeezy

I have a wide foot. Size 11 in most Jordans and can't wear a lot of of shoes if they're just too narrow. Heard the newer Yeezy Slides were more TTS so I was happy when I hit on a couple of the newer releases. My wide foot still doesn't fit even with the size up. Foam RNNR fits though!
i had this same problem too with the yeezy slides and which is why i never copped any yeezy slides but i just picked up some adilette 22s and they fit perfect, they’re amazing for us wide foot bros.
Slight similarities but very different and that's mostly with the shape of both. They're both in their own lane imo. It's kinda a reach to say Adidas just "copied" the Yeezy slide to create the Adilette 22 when the Adilette 22 is just a beefy new age version of the OG Adilette
Why no one, literally no one, is comparing a previous Adidas adilette with this new one? Those are the same silhouette. So Adidas is replicating his own silhouette with Yeezy colors and materials but different texture. As Seth said, Kanye doesn't own colors or materials. And also no one is talking about the real possibility that this is all a stunt to put Adidas slides on the hype map and done it successfully.
Exactly. Adilette are THE slides. The silouette was copied by every other shoemaker bar Nike. They are most popular slides of all time, and all 2022 version is is chunkier version with futuristic materials. The actual look is Adilette, and not even close to Kanye's.

The only reason I don’t care about wether or not Adidas is biting Yeezy slides is because Kanye said he supposedly wants everyone to have a pair of Yeezy’s. And on top of that Yeezy’s are always limited and I will not pay resale on any slides, not adilette or Yeezy, but any extra chance I have at getting a fun looking lounge slide at retail I will take it.
They copied, just put their own twist to it. Y'all people would let anybody take what's your as long as they spray paint first and name after something that it don't even looks like. Was Adidas making slides like those before Yeezy. No. Just look at em.
im a Yeezy fanboy so this a little biased but my Onyx have been great since i have gotten them and my adelite 22s just sit on the ground not being worn most days. Just too uncomfortable and weird looking for me. I do wear them sometimes tho and for the 60 ish i paid compared to the exact $169.58 i paid from stockx for the Yeezy's if you dont have yeezy slides then i would reccomend them if you can get over the looks.
"These should be readily available later this year" Months later and they removed the product page on the Adidas website, and I cannot get a pair at retail. I don't know why Adidas does this for a standard product.
@@irishsam83 dude thanks for the heads up. I went to my mall and Footlocker and Champs were both sold out but they mentioned that Shoe Palace had a few pairs left and they had my size in the aluminum color and black so I got an aluminum pair.
