i am an muslim in a very strict muslim family and all of us watch citizen khan and laugh our asses off. when you can laugh at your self no one can be superior to you
I'm Pakistan Pathan from northern Balochistan near Afghan border. I really enjoying Mr Khanz character when he copying my uncle throat clearing and he's resemble to him 100%. Waiting for new episodes.
Such a great show, even my Indian friends love it. Some even say its the closest to an Indian comedy show that they will probably see on an International channel like the BBC.
Congratulations, Adil and the rest of the cast on a brilliant comedy show! I think its good to see the Muslim community in a lighthearted setting. I loved it, although I am an Indian born and raised in South Africa, I could relate to a lot of it. Well done on a good show!
Adil ur role as citizen khan. Is a replica of my dad everything about u in the character. My dads been member of the mosque committee 4over 40yrs n i gota say i neva miss an episode we as a family watch ck as a family with dad and our tids r aching with laughter. Dad dnt find it funny wen we call him ck tho
I am a white English man,and I think this is a really funny comedy and in my opinion not in the slightest bit offensive at all.And how many times over the years have say the Irish made fun of themselves one way or another(ie Father Ted)and people,including the Irish have found it funny?I think that those that criticise this show should get out more and integrate.
Comedy, is all about stereotypes - for humour. Stereotypes are based on nothing but ideas. If you don't like it, don't watch it lol. I'm Asian, Muslim and love this program. We all have a dad or uncle like Mr Khan!!! xx
I am from Lahore-Pakistan. I love this sitcom. Come on people grow up. You will find all type of character mocking in Pakistan as well. By the way what those BHANDS do when they come on your marriages in Pakistan? No on offences them. I think, this show is great and obviously Citizen Khan does not protray a stero type Pakistani. It is a general out look and behaviour of Asian, Europeans and off course Americans. So I feel this is a great show. Last but not least, I am a practicing Muslim.

The question about the people who complained was "What were people upset about?" Why did he give a lecture about people's tendency to have different reactions, especially if so many people watched it. We know that. Watch mu lips WHAT WERE PEOPLE UPSET ABOUT?
Sanjeev Bhaskar from The Kumars at No. 47 is Punjabi and Adil Ray on Citizen Khan is also Punjabi. Funny that the two most famous British shows featuring Indo-Pak South Asian families in England, UK both feature a Punjabi as a the lead actor.

I think I understand some of the criticism for the show. And it's actually not from the show itself but from the promo videos used to sell the show. They often involves Citizen Khan (only) trying to interact with ordinary citizens and some of the things he said we a bit problematic and without context don't make a lot of sense.
I look forward to tomorrow night's episode to see what he gets up to.The blokes that run my local Indian take away(they are Muslims)like this show and think it is hilarious.
In my opinion, this is the best sitcom after Yes minister/prime minister. Totally unlike the American humour that is crass and completely forgettable. Keep up the good work. 👍🏼
And if this was a real comedy show then yes i would be up for it, but theres a line you dont cross and evidently he did. but its making some people like you happy, then so be it! however, my comments on here as some people think are solely on religion..no, its to do with the culture aspect also. also, if he can make another series in the same area then that would be amazing to see.
Citizen khan is VERY funny I only heard about this because of all the negative hype. If people just ignored the show - then the show would be a flop But by COMPLAINING, the show gets publicity. It’s a funny show Bets wishes
I was really negative towards the Pakistani community due to ingrained racial stereo types and islamphobic propaganda. This comedy made me laugh and I'm glad to say cured me of all that negative horrible feeling . Citizen khan is great medicine for breaking those negative issues hey people as just people I have all the DVDs now and love them I know who I support now in the cricket 😂.
