When you live in country where houses are rare but apartment buildings are everywhere you get used to living inside. To be honest... its not that bad living in two -three bedroom apartment. You get all your space needed and can save up tons of money for your kids future or just invest that money into real estate. Flats are also good option and its much easier to maintain. Houses are just money maker problem. Yes, if you have millions of $ sure. I understand. You buy safety or etc.. but for your everyday human being a flat or an average house of 2-3 beds is plently of space.

Florida really isn’t expensive. These houses are specific small bubbles. You buy these homes and can never sell them because no one’s dumb enough to buy them. This happens to celebrities all the time.
