Here I build some of James King's Adirondack chairs and his rocking chair. I recently made a table, so now I have a complete outdoor furniture set I can raffle off to raise money for my daughter's softball team. Man, she has the greatest coach ever LOL!

Nice job. Slightly different techniques to James original build that gave me some additional input. Look f or ward to seeing more vidios

I just finished two of the rocker versions. They look great, trying to sell them now. Very time consuming to make though. My lumber (2x pine from Lowes) split a lot on the curved pieces, especially the back slats. I had to remake 5 back slats because they split so bad. Great job, looks great.

I'm so glad I came across your video! I followed KFW's video for my first Adirondack rocker build but your video seems so much easier for me to follow. Can't wait to build my next one. Awesome job, it looks amazing!

Thanks for your video. I just bought plans and templates. I'm going to follow your suggestions and make mdf templates as well. I know once I build my rocking chair, I'm going to have friends that will want them as well.

Great job on the chairs and your video. I’m still in the rough cut and routing stage of my first chair. Like some other have mentioned, some small splits in the wood get ripped out with the router. Needed to remake a few extra back slats.

I like the way the chairs sit a bit more upright than traditional adirondacks (which are hard for this arthritic old man to get out of). Where did you get your plans? PS, great job, hope you raise a ton of $$ for the kids!

Nice! What's the router trim bit. I need to get that but can't really find the right one that's big enough for 2x material. Thanks!

Heya man, really nice build, Im in a metric world about to build these awesome chairs, just trying to nut out the dimensions correctly, may I ask the actual thickness of the Douglas Fir (and board dimensions) that you used in your units as that looks aces (everything here in Australia is a. hard to source and b. very expensive c. metric conversion for template cut list is difficult to achieve as per the plans I bought. Thanks man and once again awesome work mate

I used my planer and my final thickness was 1 7/16 inches (= 36.5125 millimeters is what I found on the internet). LOL. Hope this helps.

For the rocker it shows to be 2- 2x12x8, 1- 2x8x8, 1- 2x6x8, and 1- 2x4x8. The regular chairs should be pretty close as well. I was making 3 chairs so just bought all 2x12x8 and used to templates to squeeze everything in.

Anybody interested in the man who actually designed and built this chair , table and rocker along with a foot stool..with a great instruction video, and where the plans can be purchased should visit his u tube channel..Kings fine Woodworking ..given this guy used Ken’s design and copied 90% of his techniques , even down to the jig the little guy was holding he should of least gave KFW a shoutout.

He is credited in the description. Ken also commented quite some ago saying that it was a good build.

Kings fine woodworking youtube channel. He may have the outdoor furniture pack on sale. If not, wait until the spring to buy it. You'll get sent full-size paper templates that you can adhere to plywood or mdf for the chairs. He also has full-length tutorial videos with really good tips and tricks for assembling the furniture. I don't believe there's templates for the tables, but the instructions are well done.
