I'm a novice and have been googling tension problems for two days. I've gone down the list of possible issues and done each of them more than once. Only the bobbin tension remains, but it's been super hard to find an instructional on how to actually do this on my Stylist. THANK YOU! An eye glass screwdriver works perfectly-putting one into the storage compartment on my machine. 🏆👍🏼☮️💜
You are a lifesaver!! I couldn't figure out what was wrong with my bobbin and then looking through that little hole I realized the case had turned and the screw wasn't aligned, I moved it slightly and now it works perfectly!!!
Thanks SOOO much for bothering to make this video. I've been sewing for 55yrs +! Mostly on a range of vintage Singers. My latest acquisition is a Melodie 60. The model number is 5808 but the manual from singer doesn't show how. I found a mansplained video of the complex process of dealing with this - which would be handy if there are cleaning or other issues to do but I'm pretty sure it's just a simple tension adjustment I am so relieved to have found your practical, clear, simple solution. ❤️
Thanks for sharing this! I don't have the same model, but these Singer machines are basically put together the same way; it's only the features that differ. Very helpful!😊
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have been fiddling for a couple of days trying to adjust the bobbin tension. I tried your handy tip and voila - in less than a minute problem solved!!
Omgosh I was losing my cool with my machine, you have save me from an aneurysm. I was so frustrated, I woke up today with a headache due to the anger from last night.
Wow. Never would have found that!! However, I’m still having trouble with getting a clean stitch. The darker bobbin thread shows through just a bit. Any suggestions?
I didn’t realize I’ve been getting many comments on this video. Im sorry I missed this. In case you haven’t solve your issue, I would loosen the tension on the light thread and maybe tighten the darker thread. Maybe a little of both
