After using your bolt cutters for a while they get misaligned and don't cut as well. This video will show you how to adjust the alignment to have them cutting like new.
I bought a 12 inch cutter from Harbor Freight. I used it like a maniac for two days. Then, well, it lost its chopping power. But this video explains how to fix it. It's a great help.
The bolt under the adjuster should be loosened before you turn the adjuster bolt, because it locks in the adjustment when it is tight. Then tighten it up after your adjustment. It will keep you from having to twist the adjustment so hard.
hola muy bueno el video tengo el problema que se desalinea las punta o cuchilla y si lo dejo medio flojo para poder abrir se desalinea y si lo apretó mucho no puedo abrirlo no encuentro la solución
I have a vintage pair of HK Porter number zero, and number 14 cutters I’m going to restore. And how exactly do I adjust the colors on those older ones?
I know this is an old video but I have to tell you, you are using the wrong tool, to cut your spoons. You need a sheet metal shear. The spoons are a little thicker than what you may consider sheet metal but that is what it is. Bolt cutters are not made to cut sheet metal, that is why you are having problems, with them. Specifically, you want a bench mounted, long arm, sheet metal shear. 😁✌🖖
