The refinement and control Apple can have over the entire experience still has no real rival. My 2004 PowerMac G5 is still an absolute joy to use. Windows is much more of a geek OS (and I still hate the file Explorer), as you can really get into the details if you know what you’re doing, but it is less approachable to the average user. I personally use both systems; my MacBook Pro has a Windows partition for games.

Mac OS is some what stupid proof. While as Windows may be more confusing, but you get more control of the system

Mike made me some steel ramps that will work really well. We need about 3", so the additional layer of Swisstrax wouldn't be enough.

I needed them in the rear, but not the front because of the axle lift. My steel ramps Mike fabricated will be here this week.

The iCarsoft wouldn't read the DME for some reason. It kept reading an error code. The Durametric would never connect to my 2014. I used 3 different computers. I talked with Durametric yesterday, and we couldn't figure it out. So I bought the $99 reader from Advance Auto. Worked like a charm.

To me, Using a Mac is like owning a car that offers a great experience, works every time you turn the key, and is superior engineering and design. A PC is like the drag car that blow the former out of the water, but requires you to fix it all the time. I'm a former die hard PC/Windows guy and Mac hater. I also thought chasing horsepower was worth the pain.

Obsessed Garage I see that perspective from Quite a few. The way Apple does things works great for phones and tablets but the desktop/laptop experience is impenetrable for people Used to controlling the machine instead of using its features. It's the brown mini van With auto wipers and auto parking. I see the appeal and how people Forced to get used to it learn to Love it, but it does zero for me. I've also never had major or recurring issues with PC's, not in the 25 years I've had one.

why not have both, i don´t get why people "marry" to a brand it´s like having multiple cars from the same company, i have a late 15' Macbook PRO which i use as my portable computer and i have a custom built PC. i agree that windows sometimes can be annoying especially with updates and such, Mac OS is more user friendly but some programs don´t run on Mac (not a fan of emulators) so i guess it depends on what you need in a computer what ultimately decides which route you go. I disagree on the superior design though, having just 4 USB-C connections on a laptop it´s just plain stupid imo.

It doesn’t have to be an either-or proposition. I prefer Macs, if only because they’re the only ones that can run both macOS and Windows.

Omar0722 I agree on their recent hardware design. At this point, I’ll be keeping my 2013 15” MacBook Pro until it breaks. Nothing else I’ve seen offers as much power and versatility in such a small package.
