I had no idea that little squeaking they did was them humming the giant breadbug theme, they didn’t need to make them even more adorable than they already are, BUT THEY DID.
It’s not, All of the music in pikmin 4 adapts to what kinds of enemies you are near. When near a breadbug, that tiny breadbug theme is added to the music
He has no rules, no boundaries, he doesn't flinch at torture, human trafficking or genocide. He's not loyal to a flag or a country or any set of ideals. He trades blood for money.
i always feel bad whenever these guys panic and run around after being hit so i have never killed one and have only given them light taps on the noggin if they have had a treasure i needed
I wish there was a way to get a breadbug pet, like just pick up a breadbug and bring him back to the rescue camp and give him his own little area, that’s how much I love him.

How can a game simultaneously have absolutely adorable creatures that I would die for but at the same time also have the most horrific ungodly monsters that chill me to the core? How does Pikmin™ do it?
Every enemy has their own theme. Enemies that are similar have similar themes, (Bulborb, Whiptongue Bulborb, Bulbear, Fiery Bulblax) This is the explanation for the "miniture giant breadbug" layer that is added to the music.
IMO, Breadbugs are omnivores. However, they are not predators, as evidenced by their gentle nature. They canonically drag slabs of meat into their dens, Pikmin die when they are pulled in, and Dwarf "Bulborbs" are actually special Breadbugs in disguise. Breadbugs are to the Pikmin Planet what vultures are to us.
It felt so painful killing them. I just loved how they stole my stuff and buried it. They didn't even attack me and I believe they can't kill Pikmin either, tho here I'm not sure. But their overall design and actions are good damn hilarious, also the theme in one dungeon with them at the last floor was just so hilarious. Like a bit trolling along the way, but also adorable.
A Breadbug can only kill a Pikmin by huma- err, Hocotatian and Koppaite error. If a Pikmin grabs an item a Breadbug is pulling but doesn't have enough numbers to counter weight the Breadbug, they will be taken to the Breadbug's nest and get buried, killing them. If a Breadbug hurts your Pikmin, it's a Dandori Issue on your end. The Breadbug is a gentle, omnivorous scavenger; he only eats corpses and stuff you throw away. Like vultures, the Breadbug performs a thankless task that never gets the credit it deserves.
@@TurtleShroom3in pikmin 4 they just bury their items. your pikmin wont even die, they just get to work digging the item out. sometimes breadbugs will just hide the item in some grass if there isnt any spot left to bury it.
They don’t bother you, they panic when you hit them, and can’t even kill Pikmin now, So why can’t we adopt it in game? Honestly would’ve loved Pikmin 4 a lot more if Oatchi had just been a Breadbug to begin with

When I was younger, I thought the breadbug’s nose were its eyes (I was playing the first Pikmin game). Did anyone else think those were the eyes or was it just me? 😅
