Love the track enjoyed the testing coverage but I think the race was very much underwhelming and the opposite of “made for tv” Although, can’t harm Indycar for trying! ONTO LBGP
Hello Josef, for all I know you might have a social media person who sees your comments but I thought I’d put this here anyways: During your interview explaining what you said happened to cause your DSQ at St. Pete, you seemed shaken over it. I for one do not believe you were pulling an act, your interview seemed to legitimately showcase how you felt about it. I’ll admit that I’ve never been somebody who supported Penske owning Indycar since they’ve taken over from 2020-onwards, however that’s mainly down to a bad experience I had racing in a series run by a factory team that I was competing against in my karting days (nothing against Penske, I’d have the same opinion if Ganassi, or Andretti for example, owned Indycar). Despite that, I still don’t see someone like you, or your teammates Scott McLaughlin and Will Power as “having it easy” in the series. You said during your interview, something among the lines of you not wanting the win from St. Pete considering the circumstances. The fact you chose to address the issue to the media instead of putting out a statement on social media (nothing wrong with what Scott/Will did) really showcases the driver you are both on and off the track and in the long run, people (hopefully) should have a better understanding and be more forgiving towards you. While the situation is unfortunate, people like me do believe what you said and hope that you’re able to bounce back (who knows, maybe in time for back to back Indy 500 victories). I wish you and Team Penske the best for this season and beyond.
Glad IndyCar decided to try something new in lieu of Texas, but the race was sadly underwhelming. At least it wasn't a points race. Looking forward to Long Beach! On a side note, I always find the dialog audio very low in these videos. Little gain please? 2Crew & Thirsty 3's ftw....wooooooooooo, business time!
Ive been watching IC since I was little kid in the 80's Cheatgarden and his dirty squad have killed my interest. Pouchairre and Lundgarden have shown IC's top guys aren't that special. Only reason he won Indy was cheating. It's worse than Bobby Unser's stolen in court 1981 500 win, which happened to be the same team.
A great series (Admit One) and you are awesome. However, when a devoted fan has to do research to find out what in the world "Thermal" is in terms of an Indy Car race . . . ("Thermal energy" like from mantle hot spots near Yellowstone ??? but where is this site ? who owns the track? why no points? why 10 minute break? . . . . .) . . sorry, this was not enjoyable at all.
