Welcome! It's just some maths to adjust the number of rows to to fit the baseline perfectly. If the number is divisible by 6 that means that there's also going to be 6 gutters which are equivalent to 6 baseline units. Because every 2 rows has 1 divider (gutter) inbetween, that leaves us with 5 rows, which is why we subtract 1 gutter from the bottom to have to taken it into account. I know it's a little confusing but i hope this clears it up a little. Short answer : the number of rows + gutters = always an odd number because Gutters = no. of rows - 1

FYI: for now I did it manually by only adjusting the bottom margin but I am curious if I am missing something.

@@NourMSS Hey there! I believe the calculations should be the same however it's just a different starting point (14pts and 16pts), so your values are going to end up quite different. But I think as a start, you should check if you have the baseline grid starting from the very top of the page (0pt), and that your top margins are multiples of your baseline unit (16pt x no. of baselines) and then continue from there. There is also a part in which i shift the baseline again after having measured the extra space after 1:56. Let me know if this helped. Thanks for your comment!

@@jammedstudio I'm having a similar problem where the bottom margin doesn't align to the base grid but I'm using 12 pt lead. Perhaps its because my document size is 13x11? My square height is 1.058/2 = .529 mm. So right after adding the start with .529 and adding .529 to the margins, there's still a gap between the margin and baseline. So I just manually changed the bottom margin with the difference... not sure where I'm doing wrong tbh.
